I switched from a Canon 5DIII to a Nikon Z8. Nikon zoom is backwards from Canon, go figure. Plus, I didn't want to spend more money buying all new lenses for the Nikon Z mount. Enter the Fringer EF-NZ II adapter. This adapter works great. My Canon 24-70 2.8 Mk II lens works great with the Z8 via this adapter. It's worked with all my Canon EF lenses, 70-200 2.8 II, 28-300, 85mm 1.8 without any problems. EXIF data transfers good enough that I know what the aperture was and the lens used. Because the first SLR I owned was a Canon F1, I’ve used Canon products for the fast 50 years, including several APS-C Canon digital SLRs. But I recently decided to switch to a full frame mirrorless system. Since using my old lenses requires the purchase of an adapter regardless of the camera brand they are attached to, I decided to move over to the Nikon side. With this adapter, all my Canon EF lenses work flawlessly. (The picture above was taken with Canon EF 50 mm macro lens using my Nikon camera’s focus stacking feature). My old EF-S lenses also work well but I have to crop them down to APS-C size, which the Nikon camera does automatically in its DX mode. There is a huge selection of used EF lenses out there, which typically are much cheaper than what Nikon has available for Z cameras. While Nikkor Z S lenses are spectacular (I own a few of those as well), it is hard to beat a lens that you already own and have been satisfied with! ... show more

Works much better than other brands allowing mounting of EF lenses to Z cameras but the AF is not as good in dim light on a Z compared to just mounting the EF lens to a Canon RF body using an EOS to RF adapter.
