Style: DELTA Pro+Transfer Switch
We got the Ecoflow Delta Pro with transfer switch to run our furnace, fridge/freezers, sump pump and basement sink pump (where furnace condensate pump drains) overnight when the power is out due to storms. We had an electrician install the transfer switch not too long after receiving the unit. While we have not had an outage since we got it (not that I mind!), we have tested it out and it will be more than enough to allow us to peacefully sleep overnight. Except in situations when the furnace is going nearly constantly, we expect that this unit will run about a day with what we have on it. Before, we had to juggle sleep times to make sure that the fridge didn’t warm up and/or the house get too cold. Plus there was having to deal with an outside generator and the power cables going into the house in the cold and dark to boot. We used to use space heaters, which don’t quite do enough for the northern US in the winter, especially if you are out for a few days. The transfer switch is invaluable as we also can use it to plug in the generators to run the circuits attached (the furnace!!!) while recharging the Delta pro. A few things to note: 1) The Delta Pro’s instructions recommend a 45 day power discharge-charge cycle to help maintain the battery. We’ve just added it to our home maintenance routine and use the transfer switch for the discharge part of the power cycle. It works great and also gives us an idea how long it will work when we need it. I’m actually running a testing cycle as I’m writing a review in on a cold, snowy day. I don’t think that I could be more pleased with this setup (working as planned)! 2) We have done nothing with the bluetooth/wifi interface. We’re just using it as a backup battery that we manually connect to the transfer switch and it has been doing that so far out of the box without modifying the settings. If that’s important to you, I think other reviewers commented on that. 3) The transfer switch when we got the kit is a manual transfer switch that has 6 circuits with 120v as it comes with a single Delta Pro. You operate it fully manually, and that’s what we wanted. It is NOT a standby that kicks on if the power goes out (I think that you would need a smart panel for that). If you need 240v (for central AC?), keep that in mind as you may want a different transfer switch and should get the Delta Pro 3 or two Delta Pros with the double voltage hub. Any electrician should be able to get an appropriate transfer switch locally if you need to go that route.

I’m very impressed with the EF ECOFLOW Delta Pro. The 3600Wh capacity is more than enough to power my essential devices during outages, and it’s also perfect for camping trips. The fast charging is a game changer—it goes from nearly empty to full in just a few hours. I love the multiple AC outlets and USB ports, which make it easy to connect all my devices at once. It’s a bit heavy, but the built-in wheels and handle make moving it around much easier. Overall, it’s a reliable and powerful portable power station that’s worth the investment.

First the likes: portable, powerful, multiple outputs and inputs, realtime usage and remaining time at current load or time to charge, can be used while passing through external power (charging), Bluetooth and WiFi controls, boost AC power for power hungry devices. I’m running a A/C rooftop unit (needed a soft start to lower the draw), fridge, computer and multiple fans no problem. I have the 800 Watt car charger to keep it topped up while driving. The major dislike is the Anderson DC port is specked as 12.6 V @ 30 Amps but in practice it doesn’t deliver anywhere near that. I have a Dometic CFX3 100L fridge that is rated to pull up to 15 amps at 12 volts but it can never get enough voltage to turn the compressor on. I watch the voltage drop below 10V before the fridge gives up trying to start the compressor. I was also planning to use the dc for a Chinese diesel heater but it won’t deliver the starting voltage to heat the unit. Researching this I see complaints about not being able to power both devices have been mentioned for a couple of years. If it says it provides12.6 VDC 30AMPS it should be a constant voltage up to 30 AMPS. What I can run off the DC is 6 adjustable chairs (sometimes a few with heating and cooling going), as well as house lights (26W). Using the car charging port (12.6 VDC 10AMP) those loads would make the lights dim so I’m not confident the the voltage is consistent on that port either. I really want to recommend this device for easily integrated small RV AC and DC needs. But the lack of DC performing at what it says it will keeps me from doing that.
