Great boots. I'm diabetic and my feet were hurting from my old boots, which meant time for them to retire. I usually wear Kodiaks, but I wanted to try out Sorel. My first pair and they're cozy and my feet stopped hurting. Good support in my opinion. I walk to and from work and also walk alot at work... these boots ARE made for walking. Based on reviews, I sized down. I usually wear an 8.5 but I got an 8. They're a little snug, but not in a bad way. I do not have wide feet. My heel doesn't slide, feels supportive and comfy. Still about .5-1 inch of space between toe and end of shoe. If the sides widen with wear (which boots usually do) these will still fit beautifully. I think I could have been okay with an 8.5, but I can't compare. Because of the fabric part near the ankle, there is some stretch and I can get in and out of the boots without struggle. These are very well made. I had "sticker shock" at first, but these are very comfortable and I know I'll be living out of them for years. It was a good purchase. Hard to find shoes this comfortable, cute, AND well-made. I'm going to wear them a few more weeks and make sure they're the one for me, then order more colors I think.... Hope that helps. I really like these boots. Love the Sorel brand and quality. I got these at a great price! The grey is a nice color that will go with most everything. Boots were comfortable when I first put them on. They don't seem overly stiff and insoles are cushy. I sometimes wear a 7 and sometimes a 7.5. I ordered the 7.5. They fit well with thick socks. I think I would have been fine with either the 7 or 7.5. Happy with the purchase!! ... show more

Love these boots. So much. I have been searching for the perfect waterproof, comfortable bootie, and this is it. These boots are amazing. They do run a bit large, but most of the time I'm wearing thick socks, so it isn't too bad. However, I loved these boots so much, I bought a second pair in a different color and sized down a half size. I wear size 8 in most shoes (Brooks, ASICS, Bogs), but a 7.5 fit best. They are so unbelievably comfortable. I have foot problems and normally have to wear supportive tennis shoes when walking the kids to school (1.5 miles round trip). However, I made the trip in these boots without pain. Very supportive. And they're waterproof?! Amazing. I hope they make these for years to come. ... show more

    • Comfortable boots but fit large
These are very nice boots and they seem very comfortable, but they were too loose - long and wide - on my feet. I've now ordered half a size down.

These are just what I wanted. A cute waterproof bootie to go with me to Ireland. True to size. Removable insoles that I will replace with orthotics insoles. For me, they are not narrow even with a pronounced bunion.

I've been on the hunt for black chelsea boots for a while. I have a brown Sorel pair and love them so I decided to try the black. At this price point, these are definitely an investment shoe but I feel confident they will last a long time. Sizing was tough for me - took 3 tries to get it right. They are actually a full size smaller than my other Sorel boots - so for me, these ran big. I am generally a 9 or 9.5 in a shoe and I had to go with an 8.5 to keep my heel from slipping. ... show more

These are cute and seem really sturdy, but the fit is odd (loose through the ankle, narrow/tight through the toe) and they arrived with lots of superficial scratches. Returning.
