It takes a bit to heat up but it worked great the first time!! I had a pretty big design with a lot of intricate little lines and it didn’t peel up at all when i removed the backing. I used it on medium heat, didn’t even use butcher paper and held firm pressure for 60 seconds. I wanted to like this hat press but unfortunately I returned it due to the inconsistency of the heat. It was difficult to control the pressure and the results were subpar. I couldn’t use the hat plate, it’s too small for most caps. I tried using the press with my cushioned mannequin head for a more solid base but the temperature just wasn’t consistent enough to properly heat the vinyl. This press would be better with an accurate temperature gauge and a taller plate base. ... show more
