The Snap buckle collar using Biothane material with a bungee loop combines popular features designed for quick on and off, comfort and contact reliability. Biothane is waterproof and odorproof keeping you and your dog happy and comfortable. High quality 33-inch long collar is for large size dogs 20 pounds and up and fits neck sizes between 12 inches and 23 inches and may be trimmed to desired length for a custom fit. The heavy-duty metal snap buckle closes securely and the strong steel D ring may be used to attach an ID tag and leash. The collar is an ideal replacement to use with the Educator E-Collar with Remote Training system. The 1-inch wide collar is compatible with Educator 800 and 1200 training series and RX-120 receivers only. For use with ET-300 Mini trainer and all other models a 3/4-inch wide collar is required. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the materials and construction of the collar. I believe this collar will last for years. The ability to adjust it to fit your dog's neck comfortably with room to grow into it is simple and easy. I love that it incorporates in the design a quick release collar with a buckle collar all in one. And those two items being made of metal rather than plastic they will have a lot longer lifespan. I would definitely recommend this product. I absolutely love it and I like the fact that I will not have to buy any more collars. I’ve got a wiggly lab and a long haired golden retriever and getting the belt-type collars on was such a hassle. $30 felt like a bit much for little strap, but for something I use every single day…it’s worth it! My dogs are around livestock, ponds, and other messy things daily and the biothane is so easy to clean. I don’t know why I hassled with cheap collars for so long. Just spend the money and it will last you years. The buckle hasn’t rusted (yet) with all their swimming, nor has it clogged/jammed with all the sand they roll in at the farm. I do take care of my things, so monthly I give them a good wash, but still. My roommate has a cheap buckle one from Etsy but it doesn’t have the elastic and it’s difficult to get on the dog. I like how this one has some give with that elastic and allows you to snap that buckle. I will say, ONCE while my dogs were wrestling, the buckle came undone and the collar flew off. Hasn’t done it again so maybe it was just a fluke. It was a nightmare to find though, so I now have tags on my collars with my phone number because I don’t want to lose a $100 collar. I will say….it only goes so small, but it fits my 45lbs border collie with 4-5 holes to spare. She wears 16” regular collar loosely. That’s all I know. ... show more

I can’t speak to the longevity of the collar, but I will say that it feels very durable. It is the exact same material as the one that came with our Mini Educator e-collar package, and that one has stood up to heavy use for quite some time so I have high hopes for this one. We wanted something easy to snap shut since our very impatient and energetic Weimaraner can’t sit still for 2 seconds. With the snap closure, this was easy to assemble and went right on without any wrestling involved (hallelujah), so it’s a winner in my book for that alone! The neon orange color is so bright and makes it easier to identify her in a busy dog park, or anywhere really which is what we were going for. The only thing I’m worried about is the bungee portion of the collar stretching over time and eventually breaking, but that remains to be seen. I will post an update if this happens later on. Things I like… -The collar is exactly as pictured. - Seems well constructed. - It’s way bigger than I’ll need on my Golden. (He’s a 5 m.o.,18kg pup and it wouldn’t fit a dog much smaller, so BE AWARE, read the specs and don’t leave a 1-star review bc you are too lazy to read.) - I may have figured out why some people say the buckle releases. Things I don’t like… - The collar is thinner than the standard biothane collar that comes with the EZ-900 Educator. The rivets seem to be slightly larger in diameter, perhaps to spread the force over a wider area to prevent failures. - Standard rivets are used. Same as the original in design but if the rivets were screw-type thanbthe bungee could be easily replaced. Guess they don’t want that. - I would have preferred a slightly larger, high quality snap buckle. This one is nice but a bit small and difficult to snap. I was wondering why people were saying the buckle would fail. IF…I snapped the buckle carelessly only one side would catch. When I let go the tension on the buckle (tight fitting e collars mean consistent contact and that’s why I bought this collar) that one side would stay ’uncaught’. Any i ward pressure on the remaining side would then release the catch. I have a Max and Neo Martingale collar with a very solid plastic buckle that has a sliding locking catch. That would work great on this collar. I may modify the original in the future to incorporate all of the changes I just mentioned. Until then I think this collar will do the trick. ... show more

Great durability and design if you have a medium or large dog. Not so much if your dog is under 25 lbs. My dog is 16 lbs, and the collar couldn't adjust small enough to make good contact. They need to make a small dog version in the future. I found another aftermarket collar on Amazon that does the same thing and fits a small dog. ... show more

    • Great idea but the clasp can be irritating.

This collar works well because of the small section that is a bungee cord. This allows you to keep the collar on tight but still have some flexibility. One of the features I like the most is also one of the most irritating. I like that you can simply un click this collar without having to unbuckle it. I don’t like that when you attempt to re-clip it, it is finicky and does not latch easily. This does have a nice metal clasp but the alignment is very particular and it does not fully seat unless you wiggle it side to side. ... show more
