  • Cute, but the tripod breaks easily.
The voice and pictures only works on the tripod. The pegs that con ectopic the camera to to tripod broke the first day. The pictures are very blurry. It's a cute concept, but I can't recommend this toy.

  • Overall Fun Toy
My grandson loves it. But the tripod broke after a couple uses. I think he dropped it by accident. It would be nice for it to be more durable. The camera still works and he enjoys sharing fun facts with us!

  • Excellent educational toy for independent play!
The wildlife talking camera is an excellent learning toy! My kids (ages 5 and 6) were both able to easily navigate through the buttons to learn all about various animals. I love that it also includes a map as this has helped teach them world geography along with facts about animals. The pictures are high quality, the camera is the right size for them, and the facts and quizzes are interesting g and challenging enough to keep them engaged. This is a great toy for independent play. It can really only be used by one child at a time when it is in fact mode since only one person can see the pictures, but in pretend play mode they can use it together. The camera and tripod are very sturdy! I’m looking forward to checking out more toys from this line like the talking globe and microscope. ... show more

  • NOT working at all
purchased this item after seeing it from a vlog. i thought it was a great way to make my 4y/o boy love nature. it was pricey but if it will help my son learn and at the same time enjoy it (stay away from phone screen) why not. i opened popped in set of new batteries. not working. brought in 2 more sets of new batteries, still not working. i reached out to amazon hoping maybe the batch that was sent to me was just defective. i got a replacement and it was doing the same thing. WILL NOT TURN ON even with new batteries. tripod attached as instructed. NOTHING. i wished i listened to the warning that item has high returns. i tried. i thought i will give it benefit of the doubt. definitely returning. i want my money back. ... show more

  • Educational and engaging!
My almost 5 year old son loves all animals and this talking wildlife camera has kept him engaged every morning since we received it. He loves learning facts and information about animals and this was a book come to life! He has taken this anytime we left the house. I can tell how engaging it is for him because he will tell me what he learns and later tell others. The eyepiece is really soft and flexible too! The camera is not too heavy. My daughter who’s almost 2, was able to carry it around and view with it. Please note: this is strictly for young children. Adult vision is not the same as children and it will look blurry for our eyes. There’s a note in the packaging. We could easily view it if we didn’t hold it up close though! ... show more

  • Perfect for kids who love wild animals
This is such a fun little camera, great quality, a sturdy tripod - but pretty light weight! Simple enough to get it going - although It does require a tiny little screw driver to insert the batteries (not included) The images and quizzes really kept my kiddo, engaged. She is 4 years old and was able to navigate it everything on her own. My daughter also loves putting it into imaginative play and taking outside for for some extra fun! oh and the high resolution images are beautiful!! I love that it actually includes photography by Robert Irwin. So cool! ... show more

  • Easy to break, but kids love it
I would love to rate this camera with five stars because my kids LOVED it while it worked, but it has a major design flaw in my opinion. In order for the camera to work, it has to be seated on the pegs on that hold it onto the tripod. There are two small pegs on one side and a longer narrow rectangle peg on the other that insert into the camera and hold it on the tripod. These trigger the camera to work. You have to remove the triprod to change the batteries and there is a lot of pressure on the pegs when changing the angle. After two hours of gentle use one of the small circle pegs broke off, but it didn't seem to affect the use. Within another half hour the other small circle peg broke off. Now only rectangular piece is left and although it still inserts into the camera just fine, the camera only works intermittently. If my kids had thrown the camera around and been rough and then the pegs broke, I wouldn't be upset. But they were careful and supervised and the pegs still broke off very easily. ... show more
