Let me start by saying I’ve been trying to find the right heat sealer for my pyramid tea bags. The material is very thin so too much heat burns the bag. This heat sealer was perfect. I set the dial right around 4 or close to. Hold down for maybe 3 seconds and done. The indicator light goes off when it’s done fyi. I have a large order to fill and so far I’ve made it through 100 bags. It didn’t over heat or get hot. I gave it a break by unplugging it. There is no on/off switch so be mindful. When you plug it in it’s ready to go. No wait time and easy. If you’re using this for sealing mylar bags the same temp works. No adjustment needed. Lastly for the price this worked well out the gate.

I knew when ordering this, that this was not be an oversized heat sealer, but I guess I did not realize how short 8 inches is. No big deal, it's still worked for most of what I need it for anyway. It does seal bags pretty well and the heating element does a good job, making quick work of any project.

I got this as a supplement to my vacuum sealer to help with large jobs. The body is plastic. Feels like parts are probably gonna fall off. But much worse is that it's only supposed to be used for 10 minutes. I need it for hours. So, into the closet it goes.

I would not call myself an industrial-level user of this bag sealer, but as an everyday, mom-level user of my kitchen, this bag sealer has come in handy so often. Previously, I used bag clips and clothespins to keep bags shut in the kitchen, which can pop off and of which there never seem to be enough when you need them. I'm learning to replace my bag clips with actual resealing, and that system works much better. When I open a bag of cereal, or chips, or rice, now I just reseal the bag at the top, and cut it when it needs opening again. Over time, this system does lead to a shorter and shorter bag, but, as I use the contents, I don't need the whole bag anymore, anyway. And, as a cat owner, I can attest that sealing a dry cat food bag works way better than clipping the top, if you have crafty cats who learn to wrench off a clothespin (you know what I am talking about, cat parents). This bag sealer does have a variable heat setting, but I just keep the dial in the center, and that seems to do the trick for most bags. It seals much faster than you would think, and doesn't really even get hot, to let you know it's on. Really, I plug it in, seal a bag in a few seconds (just clamp down, lift up, and done), and then I unplug it. I would be cautious using this around young children, or keeping it plugged in all the time, because, again, it seals so fast, and has no finger guards.

This sealer was so worth the price. It heats up fast and seals great. I use it to reseal chip bags and pasta bags. I am sure it has more uses that is just what I use it for. It's well made. The price was great.

Its a great sealer for home use or infrequent use. I have used more expensive sealers that feel heavy duty so comparing to those, this one is a little more of a home-use version. Other than that, it seals great and works wonderful. There are some sharp parts on the sealer you will want to watch out for. I do recommend getting one of these if you want to seal stuff at home but for commercial/industrial use, I don't know if this would last long. It comes with extra sealing parts which is also nice.

I'd been needing a smaller, stand-alone heat sealer for packaging up goods for charity, so this YOYALANP Impulse Sealer 8 inch, Manual Heat Sealer Machine came across the Vine at a really great time. Put it to the test this weekend when I packaged up a massive amount of toiletries that I'd hoped could be waterproof in the seal. In using different bags, took a little testing to figure out the right combo for each bag (varying thicknesses and materials), but was cooking right along in no time. Some of the heavier bags benefited from a "dual seal" - that is, I had heavy stuff in the bag and the bag was thicker than little candy bags, so I did a double-strip seal about 1/4" apart, took the bags outside, and shook them like I thought there was money inside, and it held wonderfully. This is a great price point for a sealer that will do most of your holiday treats, holiday party favors, and more. Obviously, it helps to have a nice clear place to stage your sealing, and some of my bags benefitted most from being able to cool off in a stationary position (mostly the thicker ones - the thinner ones were "quick cool"). Happy to have a go-to sealer that's easy to use and doesn't take up too much space. It's a win here!
