  • Nice shelves
Size: 72" Height x 48" Width x 24" Depth
Not bad to assemble - please be aware that the 4 vertical rails each come in 2 pieces - makes assembly somewhat trickier and one of the shelves MUST be in that location, because the shelf brackets are what tie the two pieces of each rail together. The shelves are particleboard, which should be sufficient for most uses. Shelves could be replaced with plywood if you need something even sturdier. ... show more

  • Pretty good
Size: 72" Height x 48" Width x 18" Depth
It has a bit of flop in the vertical beams, they're not super rigid. The middle shelf that connects two vertical pieces doesn't feel very well made. But once the whole thing was assembled it felt sturdy. Not too much wobble. The wood is a little thin but can be replaced. The lip where the wood rests is a little thin, as well. But overall very happy. It supports weight pretty well. But if you can afford it, get a better brand. Double the price for something you'll buy once, but quadruple the value and longevity. ... show more

  • A very good shelving unit for the money
Size: 72" Height x 48" Width x 18" Depth
The media could not be loaded. Received the package today, which is very heavy! I got the 5 shelf version, and although I'm a strong guy, I didn't feel like blowing my back out, so I ended up taking half the shelves out of the box, and making two trips to my garage. If you have a moving dolly (I did not), use it. Very simple to assemble, and the instructions are fairly easy to decipher. After I unpacked everything, it took me maybe 30 minutes from start to finish by myself. I made a short video just to clarify a couple of things to make assembly a bit easier for those who may have trouble with the directions. Hopefully it helps! It really went together with no headaches. I assembled the very base of it first, then moved it to the spot in the garage where I wanted it, and finished assembly in that spot. If you have two people to move this after the frame is completely together, then no worries. Seems very sturdy, and although I said the shelves seem like fiberboard in my video, I don't know if that's accurate. The shelves themselves are good quality and can probably handle a nice amount of weight. Each side of the shelves are smooth, so any splinters should not be an issue. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for to organize my garage a bit more, and would purchase it again. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
Size: 72" Height x 48" Width x 18" Depth
A lot better than I expected for the price. Very happy with this purchase. The particle board is about 1/2 inch so donโ€™t stand on it but for general storage itโ€™s perfect. Assembly is easier with a rubber mallet but thatโ€™s all you need. Shelves are adjustable but not easily. This can be assembled as two separate smaller units if wanted. I would not hesitate to buy again. ... show more

  • Connecting brackets are needed
Size: 24 x 48 x 72 inches
I ordered these previously, and connecting brackets were included with the order. However in this order they were missing. I recommend anyone ordering this, to request the connecting brackets for the vertical corner posts. These make assembly much easier. I was able to assemble the shelving without connecting brackets but it is a somewhat tricky procedure, -- at least the way I did it was awkward. Also when assembling, be sure that the holes have the narrow part downward which is the correct way to do it. Otherwise the shelves could possibly pop apart under strain. When the narrow part of the holes is oriented downward in the corner posts, the bolts on the horizontal beams can be pounded into the bolt holes tightly (using a rubber hammer). When completed these are very nice shelves! Must be used in a dry area only, not in a damp or humid garage -- composite wood particle board is used for the shelves. These shelves have worked very well for my uses. ... show more

  • Missing pieces - post couplers - 12 each
Size: Pack of 3
Post couplers in all three boxes I ordered were not included. How do I contact the manufacturer to have them mail me the 12 post couples missing so I can stack the units?

  • The first ones that I bought were not too bad to assemble by myself
Size: 72" Height x 48" Width x 18" Depth
I have mixed feelings about this item because I've bought them three times, from three vendors, and got two slightly different models with the same manufacturer's number. These were all purchased within a span of about 5 weeks. The first ones that I bought were not too bad to assemble by myself. The upright rails each came in two pieces that were held together by a steel "sleeve" that snapped them into place. These sleeves held the rail segments together so that they were snugly butted against each other. The second set that I bought look just about the same as the first ones, but there's no sleeve to hold the two vertical segments together. Instead, they are held together by the upper rivets in the corner of one shelf going into the top segment, and the lower ones into the bottom. Once it's all together it seems to be sturdy, but getting all the vertical pieces lined up and assembled end-to-end without help is close to impossible. When you join the pieces together, BE SURE that the ends of the rail segments are held by the rivets so that they are butted squarely against each other. They tend to want to overlap, and that can lead to a collapse. The safest way to assemble the ones that don't have a sleeve to hold the segments together is by having someone hold the corners together while you set the rivets in place. I'm not as happy with this second design as I was with the first, but don't know how someone can tell in advance which one is being ordered. In general, though, these are good shelves that seem to hold a lot of weight -- once they are assembled. They may seem flimsy while trying to put them together, especially the design without sleeves included. The assembly directions in one set were pretty much non-existent, but better in the second set. In brief, you have four two-segment corner pieces (vertical) made of perforated angle iron. These have a series of "keyhole-shaped" holes that the rivets seat into, so when assembling the units, the narrow part of the keyhole will be pointing down. If you have sleeves, mount them on top of four of the segments (all the segments are identical) first. Tilt them slightly, so that the corners match up first when starting the installation, then straighten them up and tap lightly with a rubber or plastic hammer until they just contact the dimpled "stop" in the center. Don't drive them past the stop. The shelves are composed of two short metal pieces with rivets, two longer pieces, and the wooden shelf insert. The metal pieces hold the wooden insert, so they will be mounted with the flat "ledge" pointing up. Whether you have sleeves, or not, start by by attaching the bottom shelf. Make sure that both of the silver rivets go all the way into the holes in the uprights, then tap them down to seat the rivets. It's easy for a rivet to come out of position, so check them regularly, and be sure they are seated all the way down. Once you have the bottom shelf fully assembled, it's easier to do the rest of the unit ... until you have to attach the top segments of the vertical rails on models without sleeves. An assistant, and maybe a glass of wine, will help when you get to that stage. The good part is they are made in the U.S.A. ... unless there's now a Chinese manufacturing town that's been renamed, "The U.S.A." ... show more
