The media could not be loaded. Shakes my room! I wish it could get just a little bit lower, but honestly I was surprised how low it gets for an 8 inch. It shakes my bedroom, turns my whole bedroom into a speaker, a resonance chamber. Works with my Edifier MR3 well. I say well and not perfectly because it is definitely not optimized for use with the MR3. I have to use the sub on its lowest volume, literally a hair above zero, for it to blend with the MR3. Otherwise it completely dominates the speakers. But it is possible to get it to sound good which I have done. Very cool device and Edifier has treated me well in terms of customer service. In the video you can tell how powerful the bass is cuz my phone's mic can't really hear the highs anymore when the bass kicks in. Fun

It's important to understand that this sub is designed to augment Edifier's small speakers, it's not designed to rattle your neighbor's windows. Ideally, you run an RCA patch cable to the sub and then another patch back to your powered speakers. It works much like any small sub/satellite system as found in many dedicated computer speaker systems. However, it will work in some other configurations. In my case, I'm using a pair of old Klipsch R14-Ms - that I scored at a thrift store for 10 bucks - with an SMSL AO300 integrated amp fed thru a USB-C connection from my desktop computer to the SMSL internal DAC. I've run a single RCA patch from the SMSL's sub output to one of the RCA inputs on the sub. This works fine, and sounds WAY better than a system with ten dollar thrift store speakers should ever sound, but I like to feel a warm blanket of bass and the slight thump of a kick drum. This little sub extends the range of my little R-14Ms, changing the near field experience from nice little speakers right in front of me to an immersive sensation of music all around me. It's still pretty transparent. The imaging does not suffer. And it reproduces musical sound, accurate low notes, not just a resonant thump. It rounds out the feeling of sitting at the desktop to feel more like sitting in my listening space with my bigger speakers... you just can't get that feeling with 4 inch woofers. So that's what this is designed for - augmenting small woofers - not rattling floors and walls. I would not recommend using it as an LFE sub, but if that's what you're looking for, post your own review, I'd be interested. Oh - and it's about the size of a medium computer tower. The size is a definite selling point, part of the reason I tried it. It tucks discreetly into a small space.

This is a must if you purchase any edifier shelf speakers. Even when the speakers have nice range of bass and treble, the subwoofer adds an important element of depth for lower frequencies. I love music in all of its formats, and this is a great entry level sub that has decent sound quality. The volume is quite loud but I rarely use it what I think may be 50% of its capacity. So, I haven't heard any distortion at all. Great value for the money spent. Finally, one thing I love about it is its size. It fits well in a small space while still delivering a nice punch.

Got a pair of Edifiers for my PC and I while their bottom-end reproduction isn't non-existent like another brand of speakers I tried, it certainly doesn't rattle your insides. I moved my home-theater subwoofer to my PC and I knew I was on the right track, but it was definitely overkill. Enter the Edifier T5s. It's compact, integrates well with the 1280s, and delivers more than enough power to make them really shine. Booming, punchy bass out of a package so small had me skeptical, but it works!

An excellent subwoofer! However, unlike previous examples of connections, I connected my subwoofer differently. I have 2 Edifier non-powered bookshelf speakers hooked up to a small amplifier. Rather than looping the signal through the subwoofer, I just took the output from my RCA "tape output" jack from my amp and hooked it directly to the RCA subwoofer input. It sounds great! Now my small set-up sounds like a huge system with perfect mid-range, highs and now smooth bass with the Edifier Subwoofer. With a separate power switch, volume and input phase controls in the back, this subwoofer will really enhance your sound. Looks great and a very low profile against my wood grain cabinet. A great buy!
