Description

The Eden Swivel Grip Garden Hose is perfect for getting your watering chores done outside. The 50 ft. 5/8” garden hose is specially designed to be ¬flexible and lightweight to move around the yard. The hose provides extra strength, prevents kinking, and resists pressure build-up that can accumulate over time. The swivel grip allows you to easily connect and disconnect the nozzle or other watering tools. The garden hose can be used with any Eden product and is compatible with most other watering tools. The end connectors are made of rugged TPR, and the couplings are a mixture of brass and aluminum for a stronger connection. The braided reinforced material of the hose allows for high-pressure conditions while reducing hose kinking.

I got this hose to replace a cheap, thin hose that had definitely seen better days. This is of much higher quality with nice thick rubber coated fittings for easy attachment. The hose bib I attached this to is at the back of the house and rather than constantly unrolling it to water the plants at the front of the house I leave it stretched out permanently along the foundation. Combined with a hose splitter I have simple access both at the front and back of the house. However, that leaves the hose exposed to UV all day, every day. I am anticipating this quality hose will last far longer than the couple years I got from the last one! I am not exactly sure what "kink-free" means in the world of hose manufacturing but as I was unrolling the hose to lay it out I found the yellow line running the length of the hose to be a useful guide in making sure it was laid out flat and didn't kink, blocking the flow of water. That bit of insurance was great to have! ... show more

I got this hose because I needed a second hose for the front of the house. My other hose is 100ft and weighs about the same as this one, so I wouldn't say it's lightweight, maybe medium. I like the rubber grip on the connectors and that they spin freely around the hose. It makes it easier to connect the hose to the faucet or reel without the whole hose trying to turn. The hose also did kink a bit when I was putting it on the hose reel, but it was easy enough to unkink. It didn't have water running through it when I was attaching to the reel, so that could be why it kinked. Either way, I'd say kink-resistant, not kink-free. Overall it's a good quality hose and I wouldn't say the description is wrong, but maybe overreaching a bit. ... show more

Ordered this Eden 92069 50ft x 5/8 in Garden Hose - Heavy Duty, Lightweight, High Burst Strength, Kink-Free for my wash bay area at shop. I needed a new hose as my old cheap big box store 1/2" hose ended up with (3) leaks I could not repair. Also, it always got kinked at spigot and was just a pain. While shopping online for some landscape items, I saw this 5/8" multi layered braided hose w/kink free connectors and ordered it. Such a relief having a good "kink free & drip free" hose to use. I really like this hose as it's 5/8" diameter and gives good volume and also like the brass/aluminum connectors. This is a light weight hose, but it has a 300 LB PSI burst rating. My favorite option is the kink free ends that won't let it get in the wrong shape. Also like the thick TPR housed over the brass and this will be a nice feature in winter months. It comes with a (2) yr warranty for peace of mind. Happy with order ... show more

I have some heavy duty hoses, which were about the same price as this hose. They are solid hoses which have lasted for years, even sitting in the sun. This hose, however, could best be described as slightly better than medium duty. It's significantly thinner than my heavy duty hoses and is easier to kink. I do like the swiveling connections at both ends which makes connecting and removing it a little easier. But I wonder how long that will last before leaking. At this price point, almost $60, I would not recommend this hose for anyone expecting a heavy duty product. UPDATE: I used this hose in a lower pressure situation (to drain a water heater), and at low pressure, the swivel connection does not maintain a watertight seal and leaks. So it dripped water all over the floor by the water heater. While this is an edge case scenario, I would expect a 'heavy duty' water hose to not leak at any pressure. ... show more
