This is my second pair of this style from Eddie Bauer. Previously I paid about 2/3 more for them. So seeing them on sale was a no brainer. The only thing about them iI don;t like is they are too long and Eddie Bauer offers just two lengths. For this pair there did not seem to be an option for the shorter size so had to go with the regular which is probably going to need to be shortened. Not offering various lengths is kind of a standard for women while men's pants seem to offer many inseam sizes. So the price decrease of the pants will be somewhat offset by having to take these to the tailor to shorten. On the positive side I like the light weight, and the fit is excellent. Nice to have color options also.

I've worn a previous version of these pants for about 10 years, and was very happy with them for all those years. When it came time for new pairs, I immediately just ordered 3 of these. Changes have been made and they are NOT improvements. Formerly, there were two side pockets, one on each leg. Now there is only one on the left leg. Probably a money-saving idea by Eddie Bauer. But the worst change is that the pocket is smaller. I always carry my phone in that pocket, and now it doesn't fit. Phones keep getting bigger and pockets keep getting smaller. A miserable situation. Somehow, I imagine that the pockets on the men's version didn't shrink to the new smaller size, only on the women's version. So ladies, if you can wear the men's version, I suggest you try those instead of the women's, especially if you use those side pockets like I do. Really disappointing from a company that used to have my undying appreciation.

Great fit, fabric and super comfy. Great shaped, not too tight and not too loose. Will use it for hiking and outdoors. Waist is mid-rise which I love, don’t like high-rise. Long for me but that’s normal since I’m only 5,2”. Ordered size 2. I’m about 115 lbs.
