Overall I like these shorts. The denim material looks and feels like nice quality. I ordered my usual size and while they fit, they are a little snug in the waist. I think if I ordered up a size though they would be too large in other areas. They will likely stretch a little, as most jean material does. These are high-waisted and of a somewhat modest length; definitely not booty shorts but not down to your knees either.

The Jean shorts I have been looking for! They fit wonderfully, almost like an "A" to where the shorts jut out a little bit which makes them extra flattering on your legs. Super soft, too!

First off, I love how these shorts look and feel in general, however, I don't think they're perfect, and I think they'll work better for some people than others. I think how flared these shorts look is directly correlated to your waist-to-hip proportions. If you have a smaller waist or bigger hips, then I think they might fit perfectly. If you have a larger waist or smaller hips, then they might end up either being too tight in the waist or looking too roomy everywhere else. In my case, I don't think I have the best proportions for this. The size I got fits me great everywhere below the waist, but the waist is very tight with no stretch at all. I considered sizing up, but they already look quite flared in the size I got, and I don't want them to look any bigger on the bottom. So for my body type, I think the cut is a bit of a catch-22. Either too tight up top, or too loose down below. But, the waist did relax ever so slightly after wearing them for part of a day, and they're more comfortable for me now, so I do think I am reasonably happy with the size I got. The material is great! Perfect for summer... lightweight and pretty flowy and airy, but still looks and feels like denim. There is essentially no stretch at all in the material, which I think is good for the prospect of holding its shape over time and not having to wash them constantly to get them back to normal size, but it means you must be extra careful about sizing because they aren't forgiving in the waist. If they flatter your body, they are excellent shorts, and I'd recommend them!

These denim shorts say that they're 70% tencle and 30% cotton, I'm not sure what tencle fabric is but these shorts are super lightweight and almost paper thin. This can be good if you're trying to stay airy and lightweight for the summer but probably bodes poorly for durability especially in high friction areas like between the legs. The light indigo color is a very average denim color and the construction of the shorts is fairly nice. But for the price tag the material feels so lightweight, I would have expected something a little heftier and more durable. Unfortunately I messed my sizing up extremely when I order these I got a size 39 because my waist is 39 in... There was no size chart in the listing so that made sense to me but going back and looking at Amazons size chart a size 39 in the drop matches a us size 28, which corresponds to a 50 in waist measurement. According to the Amazon dropdown size chart I should have ordered a size 34 or 35. So sadly I ordered these way too large so I can't really speak on the fit.
