I purchased two pair of these in the store in my normal size - Medium. They seemed a tiny bit big/loose so I ordered a Small online thinking that if they fit better I'd order more colors. They're that comfortable. The small didn't fit well so I returned those, but find the looser ones so comfortable that they are now my go-to summer pants. You can dress them up with a nice top or can wear them with a tank or t-shirt and look sporty/casual. They hang really nicely. Enough weight to not show every bump underneath but light enough to blow in the wind. The best feature, for me, is that they don't show sweat. I hate feeling like I'm going to stand up in summer and it will look like I peed my pants (sorry. TMI.). . . these don't show sweat. And they dry incredibly quickly. (I'm referring to the black version, not sure of the other colors.) I have scoped out the other colors in the Eddie Bauer store and will definitely be buying those. I'm not someone that usually writes reviews but these are winners.

The media could not be loaded. I already have two pairs of these, one blue one black. I wanted a green one and tried this one but it does not fit right. It is too big. There isn't a size large. These pants are lightweight so they are good to prevent you from feeling too hot in balmy weather. They are good for general use. They can roll up, or fold up very compactly so you can put them in a backpack, or suitcase for traveling. They do not look like they are strictly for the gym or hiking the trails or jogging or exercising. Of course it can depend. The size that fits me best is size large. It fits a bit more like pants than tights. That is the way I prefer it. It does seem these pants are initially meant to be a bit tight (judging from some of the photos of models wearing the pants on the Amazon site) but if you buy a size or maybe two sizes larger they can be just like pants. The zip back pocket is great to prevent items that you put in the pocket from falling out. The waist has no drawstring. I dislike drawstrings but also sometimes pants that are "comfort waist" may not have enough elastic tension to make the pants stay on my waist. This one has just the right amount of tension for me (if it is the right size) and the comfort waist does not constrict . This is important for me because even though I have been athletic much of my life I still have an inherited slight paunch that makes it uncomfortable for me to wear a lot of comfort-waist pants . I know a lot of people out there deal with the same. One slight con I would say is that, though the fit is normal from the knee down (regarding myself) if I tried to roll the pants up slightly past my knee it would tighten up too much. In other words the circumference of the pant opening at the ankle could be a bit wider as far as I am concerned: Though these pants are comfortable and you could sleep in them (which is a convenient aspect of a pair of pants if you are traveling so you need not bring pajamas) if you move too much while wearing them you can feel the hem going up our legs and it would be better if the legs from the knee down were just a teensy bit looser, but again these pants are not meant for that. But I mostly like these pants though they are not exactly perfect for me. They are good to just have around should you need to grab them and put them on with a shirt and get going outside to get things done without much ado. Of course it can depend on your own needs. But I would recommend them. I just wish that there were a regular size large in color green. I have to send these back as they are way too large.

I am a size 2: 26” waist, 105 pounds, 5’3”. I have a short waist and always require mid-rise. These fit beautifully in the XS. Length is perfect, just above the ankle. As someone with IBD, I need a comfortable waistband that can flex with my changing stomach from day to day. The elastic is perfect: no bunching, no “compression” and no drawstring to poke out under shirts. The fabric is light and breathable. I am going to buy all the colors!

I'm 5'7, 165 lbs and pear shaped (bottom size 12). I bought size large in the sage green color. These pants are well-made, fashionable, and very lightweight and I thought they'd be great to pack for a trip to Europe. However, I'm not happy with the way the very thin fabric stretches too closely over my pear bottom & thighs and reveals/accentuates my bumps and jiggles. My other lightweight hiking pants have just a little more structure in their design and don't do that. These wont be making the trip with ne, but I'm considering keeping them since they are very comfortable in this crazy hot SoCal summer, and I'm actively working on toning & improving my problem areas anyway.

While I didn't keep these pants I wanted to so badly! The fabric is so light and so soft. Length is perfect skimming top of ankle at 5-9. These would be perfect for travel as advertised, but also for an early morning summer walk with the dogs which is why I bought them, or even a casual lunch or dinner when you don't want to dress up or down. Unfortunately these like many other standard brand pants fit me oddly. The waist gapped and the hips were too snug. As a weight lifter and ultra runner I come across this more often than not so not a fault of the manufacturer. Very well made, but for me sadly another returned item on my quest for nicely fitted pants! If you are the average body shape buy these pants!!!
