There are multiple reviews about how this blanket sheds a ton of lint during the wash. I took this in mind when I washed mine for the first time. I wash this on the gentlest cycle by itself. During the summer I'll air dry but during the winter I put it in the gentle cycle. I clean out the dryer's lint screen midway through the drying cycle. It came out beautifully. No snags or loose threads. Yes, a lot of lint but it was all contained in the dryer screen so...it's all good. It's a beautiful soft, cotton blanket. Perfect for summer afternoon naps. I bought the "bone" color which is an unfortunate name for really a warm off-white or cream color.

Love this blanket. I recently purchased two of them to go with three similar ones we've had for years. The 90"x90" are perfect for Queen size beds. They are a medium weight blanket. Just the ticket to go under our bed spread or for use as a stand-alone bed cover over your sheets. Soft, warm, utilitarian, with the comfort of quality. Hard to beat that. If the time ever arrives when we need more blankets, I know where to come. OF NOTE: Wash this blanket by itself for its first wash. It leaves a copious amount of lint in both the washer & dryer. It WILL clog your dryer vent screen. Just wipe out the wash tub & clean your dryer vent every few minutes while it's in the dryer. The attached photos show me cleaning the dryer vent 4 separate times, not 4 photos of just one incident!

I love the creamy vanilla color of this blanket, and has a nice pattern. It puts off a lot of lint in the dryer, I have to dry in 20-30 minute rounds and clean the lint trap between. It's not super soft, but it isn't rough either. Mid weight. Washed twice so far (agitator style top load machine) , one loose thread had to be cut, and may have slight shrinkage. Fits just to the bottom edge of a 12 inch queen mattress.

Nice & thick - medium heavy weight, I would say. Soft & stretchy, like a cozy sweater. Washed beautifully, without excessive linting into dryer screen. I got the dark/ sage green, and the color is as represented/ beautiful, and withstood a hot water wash without any noticeable fading. Mine's a queen and I would have preferred it a little wider; my mattress is only 10 inches thick plus a 1/2-inch topper, yet the blanket does not cover it all the way on the sides. Skimping out on the size does not make us feel "treated," and makes the company seem cheap - which will not make for loyal customers!

This is a terrific blanket for what it is: a lightweight breathable blanket. I have now purchased 5 of these in various colors. I live in Miami, so I don't need a heavy warm blanket. Even when I lived in Colorado, I still used these blankets routinely. Accept it for what it is. Don't expect it to keep you warm when it's freezing outside. It's not designed for that. It's cotton! I wash mine on gentle when I do wash it. Strangely the white and cream colored blankets shed a lot of lint in the dryer, especially when new, but the dark blue and gray blankets don't. I usually have to empty the lint filter twice when drying the white blankets. Overall, I love these blankets!

These are very nice cotton covers. I love them for a good night sleep. The problem is, they shed dust bunnies. Like cotton tumbleweeds all over the place. I have a small get-away condo and use them there. These shed all over the place. Fine dust balls. It's a drag! They are like a great wife! You love them, but you have to put up with some quirky stuff, and the fine dust ball tumbleweeds are nagging the heck out of me.

I read all the reviews before buying this item. I was pretty sure people were just being whiny for no reason. The blanket arrived yesterday. The package says its 100% cotton, is easy to care because it can be machine washed and dried, it exceptionally warm and comfortable and durable and high performance. It also said I should be washed before first use on the care tag. This is a direction I normally ignore, but because of the complaints about the lint, I thought I'd wash it and see how much it produced. The directions say to wash and dry it on gentle, which I did. It also said stop the dryer every so often to unball the blanket. I stopped the dryer every 10-15 minutes to help it dry evenly. I did this three times. It dried very nicely this way. It took one dryer cycle with the dryness sensor set to very dry. So no big deal, I'd expect such a heavy weight blanket to need such treatment to ensure the middle dryed. Sheet and blankets alway ball up in the dryer, that's just the nature of things. The blanket dried nice and evenly. Each time I stoped the dryer I did clear the lint screen each time. The first time there was a little. the second there was a lot and it was a good point to clear the screen. The third time there wasn't that much. The last time there was a little too. Overall, I didn't think it was awful. I could have just cleared it once midway and again at the end. That would have been enough. It was just clean white fluffy cotton that came out. I actually was happy to see how pure the fibers were. It wasn't that much lint for a new 100% cotton item of this size. A new set of towels would produce the same. It was a little fussy to dry it like this but worth it. Let's talk about the quality of the blanket. Overall, I wish it was white and not bone, which really looks cream colored. But I only plan to layer it between a sheet and my comforter and never see it. Is not the prettiest blanket. It does have a nice weave so it's a little more interesting then a microfiber or fleece blanket. It's not fluffyand silky like microfiber. Its soft and not scratchy or rough. It's feel like I'd expect a natural fiber to feel. It does have a very satisfying heavy weigh to it. I wanted weight and warmth without bulk. This filled that requirement. We put it on the bed, layered between the sheet and our comforter. It hanges over the sides just enough to cover you without hanging down to far when the bed is made. Itis long enough to be tucked in at the bottom and still cover over my shoulders. Overall it was so satisfying to sleep with this new layer. I was warm, but didn't sweat, because it's cotton. The weight felt great and made us very cozy. Overall, this was the solution I was looking for. I expect this will last along time with care. It's a well made blanket, I'm pretty sure I could be less careful and it would hold up to some abuse. we don't have pet so I can't tell you about those claims that pets snagged the fabric. For how we will use it, I doubt it will end up snagged on anything. Overall, it is easy to care for even if you have to unball it and clear the screen a time or too, warm, has a good weight and should last us along time. To me this performs as expect. Very happy I ignored the bad reviews and purchased this item. I'll be cozy and warm all winter long.

This is a surprisingly heavy blanket. I have both a king and a queen of this and the king can be almost difficult with its size and weight to get under. The queen is a great size and it’s a great extra layer of warmth as well as accent blanket. Huge fan of the color options too.
