As stated in the title, this jacket is very lightweight and comfortable however, the outer material is not very heavy duty. Insofar as I mostly just wear it around town, it is not likely to get damaged as easily as it would if I took it camping or backpacking. This jacket has less down and is less warm than its predecessor which had an 850 fill ratio. If you want a lite jacket that is compact and provides good warmth, get the MicroTherm 2.0
