πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The EcoFlow Solar Panels have distinct advantages with its monocrystalline solar panels that offer efficient charging. The panels are portable and come with a built-in kickstand, which according to most reviews, works well for optimal solar exposure. The panel seems to be ideal for those who have limited space, and despite a higher price point, it offers great value with its high potential power output. However, performance may be dependent on specific environmental conditions.

Pros

  • 🌟 Bifacial panels providing additional energy production
  • πŸ’ͺ Monocrystalline solar panels for efficient charging
  • πŸ”‹ High-capacity solar charging in a single product
  • βœ… Foldable design for portability and easy storage
  • πŸ’§ IP68 waterproof rating

Cons

  • πŸ‘Ž Backside of panels heavily dependent on sunlight reflection
  • 🏝 Can be tricky to set-up on sand
  • πŸ’” Flexible body can potentially cause the panels to break
  • πŸ’Έ More costly than lesser-known brands

Should I Buy It?

If you're specifically interested in a compact, portable, and efficient solar panel with a built-in kickstand, the EcoFlow Solar Panel may be a good fit. Despite the higher price, it appears to offer solid value with high power output and additional features like IP68 waterproofing. While it may not offer as much power in less optimal environmental conditions, its potential for additional energy production in the right settings is a distinct advantage. Therefore, it's worth considering, especially if portability and efficiency are top priorities in your choice for a solar panel.

  • Very useful for ensuring backup power
Size: 110W Solar Panel
I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. Just a couple of hours of charging on a very cloudy day, it charged very little. But when there was a little more sun, the charge quickly increased, so it seems the panels are working well. They're easy to install and connect. Although I use the Ecoflow mainly for power outages, which are quite common here, and I can always recharge it from a 220V outlet (the one used in my country) in no time, it's reassuring to know that if the outage is prolonged, I can count on the panels to recharge. ... show more

  • Ecoflow has quality stuff and its definitely worth the peace of mind
Size: 110W Solar Panel
Ecoflow is more expensive than other brands, but their quality is unmistakable. This panel is perfectly portable, and compatible with my battery of the same brand. The power output and charging ability are not yet known, as Im saving it for summertime for maximum output. The plug-and-play capability is promising for my needs. ... show more

  • Works well, fragile when in use.
Size: 110W Solar Panel
Works great, just not very durable. Don’t let it fall over. The solar cells break easily and that will rapidly reduce its efficiency. A breeze tipped mine face down onto a pebble beach and it lost half its power output. It was not a violent fall, it just fell over and that was enough to damage it.

  • Worth it
Size: 110W Solar Panel
Got this for my Delta 3 and River 3. I haven't tried it for the River 3 yet, but the Delta 3 worked well. We were having bad winds the day I tried it and haven't really gotten enough data yet to let you know how long it takes both my units to charge yet. But will update once I get that data.

  • Inspect your panels *Update* Seller/Amazon quick to send replacement
Size: 110W Solar Panel
*Update* The replacement process went smoothly and I recieved a replacement panel quickly without issue. My new panel looked great, so I'm changing my rating up to 5 stars for seller/amazon responsiveness and the fact that the damaged label seems like a one-off defect. Still, make sure to closely inspect your panel when you get it so you can get a new one if there's an issue :) -Original Review- Upon opening the box, which was not damaged, and setting up the panel to test it outside, I noticed a pretty big scratch marring the surface of one of the panels. I'm not sure whether the scratch is affecting the power generating abilities of the solar panel, but even if it's functioning correctly, I've ultimately decided to return it in case the scratch affects something else like weatherproofing. I'm giving this product a preliminary review of 3 stars because it arrived damaged. It did come nicely packaged, so it seems like the panel was damaged prior to shipping, but who knows for sure. I'll be happy to update the review with my experience with the return/replacement and when I receive a new one and have the chance to confirm it works. ... show more

  • DOA
Size: 110W Solar Panel
I bought the River 2 and 110W solar bundle. I'm confident I followed the setup instructions exactly -- I'm an engineer, and to EcoFlow's credit, the directions are extremely simple. But the River 2 consistently reported 0W input from the solar panel, and the charge percentage never changed, even after leaving the panel in direct sunlight for several hours. Using a multimeter, I measured the panel directly and found it to have 14.5V output at only a few milliamps. EcoFlow tried to make the return process difficult. When I initiated the return through Amazon, I got an automatic message saying that I needed to contact EcoFlow and receive a shipping label from them instead of using the Amazon one. I thought this was weird, but I messaged them anyway. Their rep casually tried to railroad me into further troubleshooting this device that they clearly didn't bother to test before sending. I told them that it wasn't my duty to spend additional time troubleshooting a dead product, and if they didn't send their special label, I would just return it through Amazon instead. So they sent the label, and I returned it their way. Hot take: it's not very "Eco" for a company to ship me broken things that I immediately have to ship back. Also, I found a reddit thread full of people who had the same problem, but most of them had ordered directly through EcoFlow and were essentially told "too bad" by EF support. I don't think links are allowed here, but it's a post entitled "River 2 not charging from solar panel" on Ecoflow_community. This specific defect has apparently been a problem for at least a year. It is my opinion that EcoFlow is now cutting corners and coasting on their good reputation. ... show more

  • So Simple, So Portable
Size: 110W Solar Panel
Just hooked up the Ecoflow 110 watt Portable Solar Panel to my Ecoflow River 2 at 3pm EST in Delaware. I was immediately pulling in 82 watts of solar charging. The panel was packaged well and included the cable to connect the MC4 solar connectors to the XT60 (yellow/orange color) connector on the Ecoflow River 2. The carry case is of very high quality and keeps everything together as well as acts as a stand to angle the panel towards the sun. My Ecoflow Delta 2 will arrive in the next few days and this panel will also work on it. ... show more
