Removable table top for easy cleaning. Color will never fade. Front door latches securely and cannot be accidentally opened. Small and Medium crates have one secure latch. Honestly, I bought this with not high hopes but I’ve had it for 3 years and might I say, I am pleasantly surprised. My dog LOVES this cage! I know that is probably weird but he does. He prefers to lay in it instead of his dog bed. Weird, I know. It is also very nice looking and blends in well with furniture even though it’s plastic. I probably wouldn’t recommend for high energy dogs or ones you are trying to crate drain because it honestly isn’t made of much and if they have enough force to break through it’s over. But, for a dog who is crate trained it would be perfect. It was easy to assemble and taking it apart and putting back together is EASY. I have this in my living room as a sofa end table and it's wonderful! My 30 lb reactive pup can hang out with us while I have guests. It's great. I never leave him in it unattended so I can't attest to it's sturdiness against chewers since he doesn't get anxious as long as I'm in the room. I bought this because my 14 month old Great Pyranese mix puppy is working on being kennel trained and our old kennel had bars just wide enough for him to stick his nose through and scrape it up. I wanted a safer kennel for him, that was big enough for him to move around, but with bars not big enough for him to hurt himself on. This kennel would have been perfect. I saw that this was made of a plastic/wood polymer and because I have a composite fence (wood/plastic), I assumed this would be a similar material. I was wrong. This kennel is plastic and not just plastic, but HOLLOW plastic. I don't know what amount of wood they think they are including, but this is terrible. My old kennel is made of wood and was around the same price, so I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this kennel. If this actually had sturdy materials used in it, it would be great, but it's made of hollow plastic that a 14 month old, 75lb puppy was able easily snap in several pieces within minutes. Pictures are attached. If you need to work on kennel training your rowdy, big breed puppy, look elsewhere. I assume because this is broken that I can't get my money back, so I've wasted $200+ on something that didn't even last a single use. He broke it in less than 15 minutes. I'm writing this review mostly as a response to the negative reviews that this product (and others like it) seem to get a lot. Namely, that peoples' dogs break out of them. Obviously any crate that isn't made out of metal is going to be structurally weaker and should only be used for dogs that are crate trained! I think a lot of people assume that since their dog hasn't broken out of a metal crate, that's enough to indicate that they're "trained"...which just isn't so. You should make sure your dog is fully crate trained (by checking in on them with Skype or something when you're not home) AND make sure your dog is accustomed to this particular crate before leaving them alone in it. This crate (and others like it) IS NOT for puppies, dogs with separation anxiety or dogs that aren't calm inside a crate. You'd think this would be common sense, but apparently not! And can make searching for a stylish, furniture-like crate hard because they get a lot of negative reviews for owners' error. That being said, the small size of this crate has been working out great for my papillon. He's a tiny dude (5ish pounds) and he has a ton of room to stretch out/stand up. It does feel kinda cheaply made, but I got it for a good price and it looks really good. I don't expect it to get much wear and tear so hopefully it holds up over time. I didn't feel the need to reinforce it at all but that's an option if you're nervous about it. Looks fantastic and modern! Get only if your pet is crate trained and not one that likes to chew or break out of the crate. Yes It's a plastic material but pretty sturdy for our crate trained pup and a heavy chewer will break out of this. I am not one that likes to assemble furniture but this is very easy, detailed instructions and can be assembled by one person . It took me about 5 minutes with very little effort . It comes with all the tools you need to assemble. Took off a point because the door had some damage but does not affect it's function. Regardless it's a good crate and just ordered the smaller one for our new pup that just graduated from crate training from the traditional wire crate. She already tries to hang in there with our corgi boy<3 ... show more

I bought this in 2022. I have moved twice and even downsizing, this has never been considered for being cut. this has been amazing for the move. Fits in my van and doubled as a cat carrier for the move, just got a plastic liner and pet pad. My doodle sleeps in it every day without fail. My kid uses it to play with for an hour at a time. Makes a great coffee table by the couch. Holds up to being yanked on by a 2 year old violently. Super easy to assemble. If your dog doesn't like crates, you might need one more sturdy, I don't lock my dogs up so I can't say how they'd hold up to a determined dog.
