Title kinda says it all. But, I’ll say a lot more. My cat has gobs and gobs of toys around the house, including other kinds and brands of feather wands, but he’s never responded to any other toy with this level of pure enthusiasm and enjoyment!! He wants to play with THESE wands CONSTANTLY. I think it’s a combo of the feather size and variety (perfect!) and the fact that the feathers are not dyed, so they retain the coloring and patterns (and to him, the illusion) of being real birds (and also probably don’t smell or taste as funny to his acute feline senses as some of those neon-dyed ones do). The wands themselves are also superior in quality to anything else we’ve had (and we’ve had a LOT! Including other telescoping kinds). They actually stay telescoped when you want them to, are an ideal length, and provide just the right amount of spring and flexibility. The monofilament line that the feather attachments hook to, are the perfect length and tinsel strength. The small bells on the feather attachments, in combination with the line and flow of the wand, lend the feathers a flawless combo of weight and motility, allowing them to realistically mimic the movement patterns of live prey. *The bell isn’t too shrill or loud*. I usually take bells off of most toys because they are too annoying, but this is more like the faint chirp of say…a small bird out in the wild!!?!? These also seem incredibly durable, we’ve yet to lose a feather, snap a line, see the integrity of the telescope fail, despite non-stop and often vigorous ambushes!. In every way, these are phenomenal. Kitty leads me to them - or brings them to me - multiple times per day. His sweet, playful, and deep-down-wild-heart has completely fallen for them. ... show more

Our cat absolutely adores this toy, to the point where she'll drag the little feather bundle around and put it in her bed to sleep with or bring it up to us to drop on our heads while WE sleep. The pole is very "whippy" - it bends like a reed and is very flexible, which results in some very fun feather maneuvers. Really well-thought-out design that I highly recommend. Even its durability is commendable; we haven't needed to use any of the extra pieces and we're a few months in, very contrary to previous toys. ... show more

    • Excellent Product (but You Need To Do Two Minor Modifications For Safety)

The media could not be loaded. Great product, the cats love them. I recommend two modifications that you can do at home to make the product safer. 1. Remove the metal bell, cats can hurt their mouths with this and it is unnecessary. I pinched it off with a needle nose pliers. 2. Add a short length of string between the metal fastener and the toy. This will keep the metal fastener away from the cat's mouth and face. This is critical as the pole is flexible and can whip the feather very fast. The wand is great, very flexible and the perfect length. The fishing line on one of ours broke but it can easily be replaced with regular fishing line. The feathers are pretty durable and easily replaced on the wand. Attached is a video of one of our cats playing with the toy. She has a neurological disorder (CH) so her coordination is not that good but she loves the toy. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • SO DURABLE!
This thing is SO sturdy. We recently acquired a second cat and he is either very hyper or our first cat is a lazy butt. New Kitty is a rambunctious 8 month old and in the 2.5 months he’s been with us, he’s managed to destroy or maim half the toy collection we had built up over 9 years with our first cat. I was desperate to find a new wand toy because New Kitty had chewed the string off of both ends of the string from the bouncing duck wand and has shredded the flannel and managed to bend the wand with the long banner. The straw/twine/bell-on-a-string concoction has disappeared entirely. I was immediately impressed by the design. We have now had it for almost a week and although the feathers are mussed a bit, it is as good as new! The thick foam handle allows you to grab it and keep the cat from pulling it out of your hands and running off to find a way to destroy it. The metal rod is resistant to New Kitty who chews like a puppy dog. (seriously, he goes after shoes!) I was worried the rod would come apart because it came in two pieces that you put together, but it has held through several acrobatic attempts to run off with the lure. The cord is not something a cat can easily chew through, and has held up with no fraying so far, despite New Kitty’s best attempts. The feathers are all still in place and I’ve not switched between them yet. Of all the great things though, this toy has brought my two kitties together. They are still adjusting to each other and will pick minor fights on a daily basis, but every night we have a shared play session where each cat has their side of the room and they each take turns playing with the toy while the other one sits and watches respectively until it is clearly their turn again. My two cats love to chase these feather toys. The fishing pole structure makes it easy to make the feather lures fly, jump or make other movements to keep your cats moving. The poles and lines have held up well under constant use. The cats do pull out the feathers over time, so you will need to replace the feather lures from time to time. Because these toys do have small clasps on the lines that I do not want the cats to chew, I put them in storage when I am not playing with the cats. ... show more
