This 1/8 inch stranded stainless steel wire from KALLSDY looks like a great product. Perhaps an overkill for what I have had in mind but in my application the physical diameter is almost as important as strength since it will help ensure better visibility. Small wire or cable can be quite hard to see and it is important to me that in this application it will be visible. The spool containing 600 ft. of cable is a strong molded plastic design and the cable spooled onto it with a full cross wrap on the drum so it is very tight and compact. The cutter tool included is nice and will be essential to getting this cable cut cleanly. Glad it was included, otherwise I would probably use a steel cutoff disc due to the hardness of the cable. You cannot cut it with normal shears. The individual wires in the cable construction are tempered and to me quite stiff. Construction is 7 wire strands twisted into one, then 7 of those small stranded wire bundles twisted together into the 1/8" diameter cable bundle. That is 49 separate strands in this compact package. Not quite the Golden Gate Bridge cable but those aren't 316 Stainless either. Although the individual wire strands feel pretty stiff individually, like spring steel, which is really what these cables are made of. However, when it is all put together the company refer to the cable as easy to work with. Not sure that I totally agree with that but it is after all a relative statement. The small strand construction does produce a structure which is flexible and very strong. You will have to determine if it has the flexibility you want, such as for a mechanical lift or simply for a static load application. If you are just looking for a static load application like the tree support or fence wire strands above a the picket fence to keep deer out of an orchard area then that answer will likely be different. I don't need the 1700 lb breaking strength, nor the 570 lb working load limit. Deer here aren't that aggressive yet and there are no moose or elk for me to worry about. And I am not using this for rabbit snares, so I expect I have talked myself into using it for what I planned when I bought it.🤓 Especially since I now have it here. Mine is static, and that is why this will probably be considered overkill for what I want. But it won't rust and it is large enough for visibility. I do not need the super high strength but I do want corrosion resistance, which this provides in totality.

Exactly as described, this is 600 feet of strong SS cable on a tough plastic spool with nippers included to cut it to lengths as needed. I got this to use for grape trellises that I will merge with my perimeter fencing, but have not gotten around to gathering the wood to build it with yet. Nonetheless, it doesn't take more than touching it to feel that this is top notch material, more than what I needed to make trellises for the occasional perimeter grapevine. It could easily be used for wire banisters on a modern/industrial design porch. It is well priced for the quality stainless steel cable, and the nipper work well, I've tried them on lengths of multiple different cable materials, and while it takes effort to operate them, they do the job well.

It looks like some of my roll was used so I hope I have enough for my project. It's still a lot of cable that I'm using to build my patio railing. The cutter is good, it cuts through the cable fairly easily (according to my boyfriend, I have no hand strength). The cable is thick enough that you can see it when installed, yet not so big that it overwhelms the design. Seemingly very strong, though I don't know how I would put that to the test. Good find if you're looking for a substantial amount of cable for a good price.

I used this to design our trellis for some climbing Jasmine and it worked perfectly. It made it so much easier that it came with the needed wire cutter. There's definitely more wire than I will need, but it will definitely be nice to have on hand for other projects around the house.

There are so many uses for steel cable it's unreal. This spool is a tightly wound run of 600 ft of stainless steel cable. It's strong and durable, just as one would expect. Not to mention you get a lot of it. What's also great is that it comes with its own sheers and they will actually work (standard sheers will not cut this). While this is stronger than I currently need, it's better to have it that way than to have something shoddy.
