I just installed two of my Renogy 100 watts panels. Everything was included with an instruction manual. It was pretty easy to install no tools required. You can choose the angle and it can be changed easily.

Be sure to buy nuts/bolts to secure your solar panels to the frames. This comes with a few different sets (of the same size) to fasten the frame together, also sheet metal screws - but nothing that fits my Renogy panels so I can attach them. Luckily I had good grade lashing wire, I didn't feel like waiting for more parts. ... show more

    • Very Sturdy In High Winds. Only Problem is With the Nuts and Bolts.

Took a while to get my 180 watt Bouge RV panels mounted on these, but they have held up to the elements for almost a year now. The nuts and bolts were difficult to screw. I noticed some manufacturing defects that caused extreme resistance when screwing in the nuts. You should be able to use just your fingers, but with the defects you'll need a few wrenches, which makes changing the angle of the panels a bit tedious. Nevertheless, the durability of these combined with how lightweight they are earns them 5 stars. ... show more

    • Quality Control Not So Good

I recently purchased a 20' shipping container that I use as a small workshop and for storage. It's located in a storage yard, so no electricity available. I purchased a solar panel, batteries and an inverter and mounted the panel on the roof with a Renogy adjustable panel mount. I was very happy with the mount, but realized that I could benefit from an additional panel, based on my usage. Unfortunately, I didn't plan for that in my initial haste. With the angle of my container off of due south, my placement of the mount/panel couldn't be square to the container. Given where I placed the panel/mount, mounting an additional panel next to the existing panel would cause an overhang. So the plan was to go vertical. Renogy didn't make a mount that would allow vertical and Eco-Worthy and some other vendor were the only two that seemed to have a mount big enough allowing me to vertically stack my two panels. So, the "L" stock is not the same dimensions as the Renogy. That's not bad in and of itself, but it is smaller and a thinner gauge, so not as sturdy. This is not a deal breaker, but just an FYI. This caused me to have to perform some rooftop re-engineering as the narrower dimension of the "L" meant they wouldn't quite fit my already in place bases and I didn't want to have to drill new holes in my roof. Then I mounted the two panels on the long "L" bars and found out the panels weren't level. While the two "L" bars are drilled identically, the holes are not spaced equally from both ends. Normally you would mirror these two bars (one facing left the other facing right), but doing so will cause your mounting holes to be off by 1". The only option was to have both bars facing the same direction. Very frustrating and looks like I made it from scraps. Just a little engineering on their part would have made for a much better product at no extra cost. I'll update with some photos when I go back up on the roof. ... show more

    • Nice unit. Modified to make Eco Flow folding 110w solar panels holder.

Attached this solar panel holder to a children's mattress bed frame with wheels. Bed frame cost 20 bucks at a Salvation Army type store. Then added M-D Building Products 58297 1-1/2-Inch by 1-1/2-Inch by 1/8-Inch by 72-Inch Angle sold by Amazon. Cut this 72-inch aluminum bar to size with tabs for bolt holes to keep the 41-inch arms apart. Placed the bar horizontally between the 41-inch arms on the solar panel in the middle of the Eco Flow 110w folding solar panels to make a solar panel holder for folding type solar panels. Also used; POWERTEC 71483 T-Track Knob Kit w/ 7-Star 5/16 Threaded Knob Set of 4, Black, also from Amazon to speed up install/uninstall mattress bed from solar panel holder. Used 1/4-inch threaded knobs for solar panels so I could quickly bring panels in from being, "walked away". Turned out great! Very sturdy. Disassembly time less than 2 minutes. Have to use folding solar panels because I keep them in EMP Bags when not in use. Good price, excellent quality! ... show more
