I am a HAM radio operator and purchased this battery to run a 45 Watt 70CM radio outdoors for various purpose and as a backup radio battery while camping. I am very impressed with battery life, charge capacity, and how well this battery casing is put together. It is also very light weight cosidering field use such as POTA or SOTA operations. This unit has a built in battery management board like most all integrated LiFePO4 units do, and ensures I can't over charge or over discharge the cells inside. What I really appreciate is that it will handle 20A discharge and charge rate. Meaning, I can pull 20 Amps current from this battery under use and charge it with the same 20 Amps if I want to top it up quickly. Normally I am using a simple NOCO 1.1 Amp small battery charger that includes charge profile for Lithium chemistries. I have tested this battery at full radio wattage and it maintains 13VDC while supporting 5-8 Amps draw during transmission. The battery posts include screws and washers to affix ring terminals, but are also big enough to attach spring clamp battery connectors for quick setup.
