This is my first time buying and experiencing white Blackout Grommet Drapes, I usually buy Rod Pockets. I wanted a long drape to cover my French doors for added privacy. When I purchased, they were under $9 per drape, I purchased and hung 2 pairs (4 drapes). Grommet drapes are faster and easier to install than rod pocket curtains. These drapes do not have a separate backing. Shadows can be seen through these drapes, but they serve their blackout purpose from the sun. I have not noticed noise cancellation with these drapes. I do not regret purchasing these white blackout drapes. They're serving a color scheme purpose, blackout is a bonus. The fabric quality is nice. If you're wanting a blackout purpose, choose another color other than white. These pics were taken on a full sun day in July with 12:30pm sunlight. Enjoy ... show more

Blocks some light, but white curtains just don’t work well in general as blackout. Get a different color other than white and it would probably work much better. Super cute curtains tho if you just want sturdier white curtains

    • Can’t remove wrinkles; darkening is merely OK. Don’t buy.

This is my second Eclipse “blackout” curtain. Shame on me. It’s just as bad as the first that I used to have in a different color. Eclipse curtains come wrinkled and stay wrinkled. Washing and tumble drying doesn’t help. Using an ironing board helps only very little. I knew to stay away from Eclipse, but I was tempted again because the chocolate brown color was exactly the color I wanted and I couldn’t find it elsewhere. Had Sun Zero had the same chocolate brown I would’ve bought Sun Zero. I also have a Sun Zero curtain and comparatively speaking it is practically wrinkle-free after simply tumbling in a warm dryer for a short time and its blackout capabilities are similarly just OK enough for my needs. I don’t know if Sun Zero is always that good as far as wrinkles, but I’m pretty sure Eclipse is always this bad. ... show more
