A very good product. It seems choosing a new TV was easier than choosing a wall mount. There are so many choices with such a variance in price. For my new 40" Samsung TV the mounts went from $25 to $150. The biggest problem is that the TV manufacturers don't provide the pertinent information you need to make an informed choice. Sure, they will tell you the Vesa screw mount spacing (like mine would be 200mm x 200mm) but they won't tell you what size screws you will need. After a couple days of searching that is one of the main reasons I choose the Echogear mount. Firstly were all the great reviews on the mount here at Amazon. I buy eveything on-line since I live in a remote area and do depend a lot on the user reviews. Next was the listing for this mount on Amazon - described in detail what all comes with it along with pics. The mount looks like it would come with just about every size screw (sets of 4) - even long and short in each size - plus washers and different spacers. You might feel like you are paying for all this extra hardware but for me it is very important for it to come with all that could possibly needed. I just can't jump in the truck and go down the street to a big box home store or hardware store if I need a few certain screws. When the mount arrived I was pleasantly surprised of the overall weight and quality. And it was fully assembled in the box (except for the extra extension brackets for larger than 200mm x 200mm installation. And of course all the various hardware that is included - each different size screw/spacer/bushing sealed in its own plastic pouch and even labeled (in English!) with the size - how refreshing! On top of all that the vendor has a website with additional information that is very well laid out with tons of information. They even have a place where you enter the model number of the TV you are buying and it will tell you if the mount will work properly - fantastic. Also having the installation manual availble for download is a plus as I like to read through the whole thing before I even receive it in case there is something else I may need when it comes to installation day. The mount installed easily. I am impressed with all the easy to make adjustments. There is even the capability to adjust the level of the mount in 2 ways - one where the mount itself attaches to the wall and another where the mount meets the TV plate itself. Also the tension on the swing arms was set perfectly without having to make any adjustments. For the $40 I spent on the mount I feel it was well worth it - I would image the quality and support of a $100 mount wouldn't be any better. Sure - I could have saved $15 by going with a cheaper mount but who knows if it would come with such an array of mounting hardware and I'm sure the overall quality would not be near that of the Echogear mount.

I'm happy to leave a very positive review for this mount because my experience has been exceptional. The quality of the materials is high and it gives me a lot of confidence that my TV will be in good hands (arm) while it's up on the wall. Mechanically it does everything I want it to do, with full-motion movement that allows the TV to be positioned in a wide range of viewing areas and to be angled down enough to be more couch-friendly. The movement is very fluid and though it moves easily it holds its position very well once you move it, which is what you need it to do. Setup was very straightforward and the instructions were sufficient. I had two minor-ish hangups in setup, but both of them were resolved. One was that I drilled into a metal plate on my stud where I first wanted it positioned (stud-finder didn't find it...). User error! The second was when I was screwing the mount plate to the back of the TV. The mounting kit comes with two different lengths for each of the three screw widths. It just so happens that the TV that I own (TCL 48" Roku LED TV) has mounting holes that are too deep for the shorter included screws and too shallow for the longer ones. I was tempted to just use the shorter screws and hope that two threads would hold the TV's full weight, but decided against it. The mounting kit comes with four hard plastic spacers for use with TV's with curved backs, which I cut down enough so that the longer screws would be snug and use the whole length of the TV's mounting holes. Voila! Works great (wrote that all out in case anybody has the same issue). My TV has a 200x200 configuration so I can't speak to the extension arms, but they look/feel like they're definitely sturdy enough to not affect the integrity of the system So other than the fact that I would recommend that a medium-length screw be included with the kit, I would absolutely recommend this mount for ease of use and installation, quality of materials, easy and sturdy full-motion movement, and peace of mind that my TV will stay on the wall.
