  • 99 problems but finding an outlet for all devices ain't one
I LOVE this surge protector power strip. I needed a low profile power strip that would fit under my couch WITH the cords plugged in. In addition, every power supply I tried only had room to plug in every other outlet, so an 8 outlet power strip allowed 4 maybe 5 items plugged in maximum and that was with constantly playing Tetris to figure out how to get them to all fit. NOW THIS POWER SUPPLY: With these 8 outlets on a fairly small lightweight power strip, there is plenty of room for ALL my devices. Not to mention, the additional USB outlets that I plug my phone cords right into without needing a plug at all. Many of my other devices also have USB power cords that disconnect from the prong outlet to allow for prong free powering up. I currently have two USB lightening cords plugged in for phones, a large power supply for a baby monitor, a large power supply for a portable scanner (which also has the option of disconnecting the USB from prong and using in USB port), a sideways power supply for a diffuser, and a power supply for a MacBook Pro. AND there are still 4 open power ports - even for large power supply, at least 2 more would fit on top of the 6 devices I already have plugged in! See my photos of items plugged in, as well as how easily it fits under my couch! In the short duration of using this power strip surge protector (5.5 months), we have had two power outages and I've had no issues with devices that were plugged in at the time. Also, this power strip has a bright green light when on, so you know it's working. It also turns out to be a great night light in my living room overnight should someone need to pass through to the kitchen. The power strip can also easily be turned off with a switch when not in use if you want to turn it off overnight. THE PRICE: I did A LOT of research on needs, quality, and pricing. By far this had the best reviews for quality and needs and turns out the price is the best for the category, if you could even find a comparable power supply surge protector that has all the qualities this one does. RECOMMENDATION: At $25, it is not the cheapest power strip you could get. If you just need an extension cord, then get something else, if you only need surge protection for a couple devices, get something else, but if you have a typical household with phones and a few others devices you plug in regularly, or even intermittently, this is the best price for the needs, quality and price. ... show more

  • Built to do the job - no shortcuts. Replaced an ugly, inefficient competitors product
OK. I have one complaint - The all important "green light" which lets you know that this piece is doing its job, is way to bright!!! Is there a way to tone this down? I would think that this unit would be really popular in budget A/V applications due to it's size, price, and capabilities which might mean an install in or near an enclosure/ this thing turns everything around it a really cool, but really distracting neon green - not cool where you are watching a movie in a darkened room. That aside, if this product works as advertised, this is a great addition to your electronics setup(s) - Compact, Excellent aesthetics, Build quality to rival much more expensive competitors offerings, and it is Compact without being impossible to utilize all of its functions. A really nice product that feels like it will do its job and last a long, long time. In other words, a great value? ... show more

  • High quality and great value; everything you need in a power strip
As the headline says: high power-surge protection rating, various internal electrical protection circuits, lots of regular outlets but also 2 usb slots with a high Amp output, power button is also a breaker so you know for certain when you flip it everything is disconnected certainly so I don't have to unplug it from the wall. I think the strip has a 3 year warrant or something as well so that's just perfect. It also has some LED lights to indicate power and protection, so 1: you can see it if it's under a desk in the dark, and 2: you know what the surge protection is gone. So when protection doesn't light up, you can buy another. And it sounds like even without protection it'll keep working so you can use the old one for less important electronics/electronics that don't require constant connection. ... show more

  • Good surge protector
I love the versatility of this surge protector. Not only is it replete with a variety of outlets, it is spaced well to accommodate different plug types. It was priced well and I love the design. One gripe is that the light (the green status light), though not as annoying as others say it is, is really quite obnoxious. It does, however, mount on a wall well (it's not too heavy) and does a great job of reducing the amount of power bricks I need for cellphones and Bluetooth devices. I also like that it comes in black. Another feature that I like is the inclusion of a plug protector (it slides across the outlets when they are not in use. They are easy to put back on, if ever they were to call off, and it just helps the protector to have a nice sleek look. ... show more

  • Spent an hour researching. This is a winner.
Used for about 6 months so far. Love it. Better than anything I could find at Best Buy, Walmart, or Target. Definitely feels sturdy and of quality build. The built in outlet covers are a nice touch. The green light is a little bright but if it’s not out in the open it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a life saver having those three outlets spaces farther apart on one row! ... show more

  • So close... literally.
The fit and finish is nice and the unit feels solid and looks good. Plugs feel really tight going in, but I’d rather a little too tight than too loose. The green power indicator light is, as other reviewers point out, a bit on the bright side. I am willing to let all of you hear things go. My biggest gripe? The two rows of outlets are too close to each other. I have several devices with biggish sized adapters (not out of the ordinary) and when plug these in, they overlap to either cover two outlets on the opposite row or, if plugged into the side with the outlets close together, covers one outlet to the side and one across. It’s ridiculous spacing. Unless you are plugging in nothing but straight plugs, I do not recommend. UPDATE: I was contacted by the manufacturer support and I will say that I was impressed with their concern for customer satisfaction. I have amended by rating to bump it up a star. ... show more
