Product has very thin walls. Putting electrical outlet in unit could have used thicker walls. But that being said , if a power plug is not being plugged-unplugged a lot unit should last.

This does not properly fit the Samsung One Connect as shown in the pictures. I had to cut around the box for the One Connect to fit inside, and that’s the only thing it accommodates. My Apple TV had to hang outside the box, which completely defeats the purpose of this poorly designed box. Don’t recommend it. Look elsewhere.

I have been using echogear products for quite some time. All my TV mounts are echogear and they hold up and are well made. I got this item to hide wires and give a more stream line feel to my wall mounted TV> The item is VERY easy to install. Drywall saw and a drill are pretty much all that is needed. If you want to utilize the outlet punch out a little electrical work is needed. The plastic is thick and not cheap and there is actually a human writing on it for a final quality check in it which I appreciate. People who back their products is always a bonus in my opinion. It is important to note if you have a wall mount TV make sure its one that is able to be pulled away from the wall. If you just have a pivot mount good luck trying to access the box after installation without taking the TV off the wall. The door is well made and is DEF NOT lose. Overall, well made, great utilization options, and amazing quality control. Must by for those who like to add perfection to their entertainment center.

This in-wall media box seems to be a great recessed media box that provides plenty of room for a variety of different devices and/or connections inside the box. This allows the devices and/or connections to be hidden from sight while allowing the devices to properly communicate with Wi-Fi or with other devices. The box is plastic so it will work for both wired and wireless devices. This media box also features several different cutouts that can be popped out to fit conduit fittings, clamps, outlets, etc to the box and comes with mounting hardware and installation instructions. Overall, this in-wall media box seems to be a great recessed media box that will keep wires, connections, and devices out of sight and keep the space around the tv more appealing.

Other than the sheer terror of sticking a large saw into your drywall to cut a massive hole, this is a very reasonable project that adds a professional level upgrade to your behind the scenes media experience. Is this truly necessary? Probably not. Are you the kind who goes over and above and never does anything halfway? This is for you. The instructions are cleverly written and all is explained in detail for the DIYer. This is a great system. If you are going full monty make sure you are comfortable adding an additional outlet. That is where this box really shines. No more cords behind the TV.
