The Echo Show 8, I can say, is the perfect middle ground. Not too small, not too big. The best part: The screen is super sharp for recipes and video calls, and even watching YouTube. The sound surprised me; it has powerful bass and fills a medium-sized room well with quality audio. Privacy: I love that it includes a physical cover for the camera. I use my Echo Show every single day. It’s like having a personal assistant, DJ, and inspiration board all in one. The sound quality is amazing for my neo-soul and Prince playlists, and I love how the display rotates album art or calming visuals while I write, journal, or clean. I also use it to set reminders, timers, and to-do lists, which keeps me organized without feeling stressed. I’ll ask Alexa to show recipes, play YouTube tutorials, or give me the weather while I’m getting ready. It feels like a quiet companion that brings a little rhythm and structure to my space. The screen is clear, the design is sleek, and I especially love using it at night with dim light and soft music. It is definitely worth every penny.

I absolutely love my echo show age 3rd generation! Perhaps legal upgrade someday to a bigger one, but for now this is perfect for my table next to my bed. I can use it to watch Netflix and all kinds of other things you can watch on their different apps. You can get on the Internet. You can listen to music you can listen to books I mean I’ve gotten so much use out of it and I just absolutely love. I can’t believe I didn’t have one sooner. I highly recommend this. I plan on hooking my security camera and they will also integrate with this item . I’m pretty sure it will hook up to a smart Home items especially they will if they work with Alexa. It’s easy to set up. I’m also buying a battery stand for it so I can take it with me when it gets warmer out outside if I want to when I go to sit on the porch or whatever I do outside. The music sounds great on it! The quality of watching movies or videos on it is great also. You also configure it with your Alexa app, which is very easy to do. It’s pretty much self-explanatory when you’re setting it up. it’s easy personalized for the things that you would like on there. I’ve spent some time going through all the little things that has on that you can do and it’s just there’s so much to do. I can’t even name everything. It’s great. I recommend that wouldn’t get that you know Jesus smart devices. I plan on hooking the external Bluetooth speaker up to it also. Corino, it’s very easy to ask questions like you on on any other electric device. The connectivity is great besides it just perfect. and like I said, it’s very easy to use very easy to set up and the controls on top of it or very easy. There’s only a few of them to do so there’s the volume up and down and the on button and the little switch if you’d like to turn the camera off, so you know if you feel more comfortable, not having the camera on oh and also you can use it as a camera in the room that it’s in and watch it from your phone from the Alexa app. It’s great that way if I think someone’s in my room, I can just turn on the camera from my phone app and see if someone’s in there or what’s going on in there. And it has two way talking on it if you wanna talk to the person in the room.. And really it’s not very heavy at all. I’m excited to get the battery to put on it to see how it is the carried around like that so when I go outside, you can have it also. Great device the great device for sure I wish I would’ve gotten a lot sooner.

I like this, but don’t love it. Cons: The setup isn’t user friendly at all. Can it not just have an app screen? There are ads pushed to you which is annoying but that’s everything now. Also when my kid was setting up his voice, it got sidetracked on the word “weather.” Say everything else but that word and it works. Weird glitch. Pros: For music- the speaker is very good. I enjoy being able to play music in the kitchen without using my hands.also it is really good at recognizing who is facing it. Freakishly good.

I love the Echo Show 8. It just feels like a premium device. It feels well built, heavy and durable. I just upgraded two 2nd gen Echo Show 8's to 3rd gen, and I'm noticing quite a few improvements, including audio, video, camera, more control over smart devices, and a smarter Alexa, overall. Alexa gives me answers for things far quicker than I could get them if I was doing my own Google search. There's just so much that Alexa does for me that I feel like Echo devices are undervalued. If you are reading this review and you have a 2nd gen Echo Show 8, and you're here wondering if you should upgrade, I say yes. This is definitely a worthy upgrade, in my opinion. I have Alexa controlling everything from my sprinkler system to my lights, and it all works seamlessly. Also, I recommend signing up for Alexa+ Early Access, as Alexa is far more advanced in this mode, making for an already excellent experience.
