  • Great way to save money
I use these in my Blink cams. While they don't last as long as the name brand AA Lithium batteries we used to buy, we are money way ahead because it a simple swap of the rechargeable batteries.

  • Great batteries with long life.
I use these batteries for my Uniden Battery powered scanners. They typically last 6-7 hours Of continuous use (BCD435's), depending on how busy it is on the scanner. This is way better than the provided rechargeable batteries. I have used these batteries for about 60 days now. Pretty continuous daily use and they all seem to be holding their charge after around 25 or so recharging cycles each. Because I use my scanners for professional use. I have 16 of these batteries and rotate them. The only con that I see here with these batteries is that you have to use the charger specifically made for these Lithium ion batteries. You cannot use any other chargers or at least they don't Work on any of my other battery chargers. ... show more

  • Batteries are pretty good, but not great
I purchased these to use in my trail cameras, as they cost only slightly more than Energizer lithium AA batteries, and the cameras like to eat batteries, especially when it gets colder in late October and November in the U.P. of Michigan. These batteries paid for themselves the first time I swapped them out with freshly charged batteries, which was my goal. These rechargeable have the typical lithium power curve in that they hold their voltage up until the the last day or so, then they drop like a rock, just like normal Li batteries. The biggest difference between these and regular Li batteries is that these charge to 1.5-1.53 volts, whereas regular lithium are typically 1.7+ v out of the package. Depending on the device, that might cause issues as many expect Li batteries to start at a higher voltage. Some devices allow you to pick the battery type, and if that's the case you should select alkaline if it's an option. Speaking of alkaline, these rechargeables work considerably better than standard batteries. These don't hold their charge as long as regular Li batteries, but the fact that they can be recharged obviously negates that a bit. My trail cameras are about 1.5 hours away, but the way things timed out it didn't cause an issue, and I was able to just swap out another fully charged set whenever I was in the area. Now to the reasons why I can't give these 5 stars. As mentioned, the fully charged rate of 1.5ish might cause issues. The second is that not all of the batteries seem to hold their charge at the same rate. I bought 6 packs, so tracking this down to individual batteries is going to be a pain. But right off the charger some seem to discharge quicker just sitting there than others do. Two of the sets I purchased came with the charger. The chargers are pretty cheesy and take quite a while to top off the batteries, and I haven't tried any other chargers. My biggest complaint with the batteries is the fact that there seems to be two versions, as I was sent both. One version has gold colored contacts, and the other doesn't. The version with the gold contacts is physically shorter by about .5+ mm or so (maybe a touch more). That might not sound like a big deal, but when they're stacked in a battery tray, it adds up and the shorter batteries don't put as much pressure on the tray contacts. I have one camera that won't work with any of the gold tipped batteries so I have to pay attention to this. The final thing with these to be aware of is that they are slightly fatter than regular AA batteries. Again, depending on the device, it can make it difficult sliding them into the battery slot. On my cameras, I have to be careful to get them in/out, and I need to pay attention to make sure they're fully inserted and making contact as once installed, they won't slide at all. All-in-all they do the job I wanted them to do. I do need to track down the weaker batteries and get them out of the rotation. It took a while to notice this was an issue so I'm past my return window. I may sound negative on these, but the 4 star rating should tell the story. I just want others to be aware of a few issues. I'm not sure if I'd buy these again, or try another brand. I have a feeling most of them are the same batteries with different wrappers so not sure it will make a difference. ... show more

  • Short life
Yikes! These are bad. I use them for my blink cameras. When I was buying Energizer lithium batteries I would get several months of use before needing to replace them. With these batteries I'll get anywhere from 3 - 30 days! That's right 3 days in some cases. It's a huge pain to have to climb up and replace these so frequently. ... show more

  • I have another set of these with the dedicated charger. They keep a charge and work great.
Some time ago, I bought a set of eight of these with the charger. The batteries require a specific charger, so I bought the set first. Those batteries hold their charge well when not in use and they last longer than most other rechargeable batteries I've used. These are also a full 1.5 volt. Many others are 1.2 or 1.3 volt. The 3,000 mWh is also a much greater capacity than most AA batteries. These cost more than many others, but they are worth it. ... show more

  • had them for a long time still hold the charge
Most rechargeable batteries I use have stopped working after not too long but these are still going strong seem to have full life still full capacity. Charge fast enough and lights are brighter compared to normal batteries

  • Not for battery powered LED decor.
I purchased these in hopes that they would help me be less wasteful with my batteries, especially for holiday decor, specifically LED pictures and LED light strings. During the first 4-5 hours of operation, they work great! Lights are BRIGHT. But after this time frame it's a crap shoot on whether they need to be recharged. For... and giggles I ended up putting some standard alkaline batteries in one string of LED lights and these in another string, identical to the other. The alkaline batteries have outlasted these BY FAR. While the alkalines have dimmed quite a bit, they still power the lights while I've had to recharge these 5-7, which is disappointing. While they definitely outshine the alkalines in brightness, they just don't crank out power over time. At all. Pros: + Rechargable (half a star) + charger uses USB power, which is GREAT. I can't emphasize this enough. (two stars.) + when it does power my devices, it powers them at full power the whole time the device is on. (Half star) Cons: - Expensive (minus half star) - Seems to be on full blast for a much shorter period of time and then dies. (Minus star) - takes 4 hours ish to charge. (Minus half star) Other thoughts... Maybe I just don't understand how the battery works? What ever the case, it's annoying that my alkalines last longer for my specific use case, especially for the price. I used EBL batteries while stationed in Germany, without issue and is why I purchased these. I'm curious if NiCad batteries would be better suited for my use case? ... show more
