I have 4b/4c combo hair. I've never liked edge control nor gel because they don't hold my hair properly. This was the first product that truly held my hair in place. I don't need to force it down with a hair wrap, use a dryer, etc. I apply and it holds right away. I press it in with my hands to be confident but It truly does as advertised. In extreme heat, the hold won't last forever but that's understandable. It lasts beautiful in reasonable conditions though. It doesn't not leave a nasty buildup nor makes me looking greasy even when it does loosen up from heat. I'd buy again.

Great smelling edge gel. I love the gel like consistency. I just have to be sure that I do not allow the product to clump up on my hair or it will dry into a hard, white residue. Tip: wet the edge brush before spreading the gel onto your edges. Seems to help me smooth it better and it doesn't leave a residue.

This edge control did hold my hair in place; however, it did not last for a very long time. I had to end up adding just glued hairspray to make my edges stay in place. My hair is a 4C texture, so it's hard to mold it, it just didn't stay.
