Very sturdy. I clamped the bottom section to an existing chain link fence pole. The antenna mast is quite heavy, but I was able to raise it myself with my antenna on top. Ease of Installation. One person can set this up and I am a senior citizen 74 yrs of age. Portable compresses down to 5 ft. for ease of storage. Used in a portable antenna set-up on a hitch mount, on the back of my SUV. Well constructed. The only thing I changed was they give you cotter pins, changed to 1/4 diam. clevis pins. I have this mast mated w/a Harvest BC-200 GMRS Antenna SWR out of the box 1.1. both Antenna and mast can be obtained from from Amazon. ... show more

    • Rock Solid, good customer support, one design suggestion.
The order came fast and well packaged, however, it arrived with one of the locking screws missing. Luckily it was for the bottom piece so I could still use it not fully extended. The seller was quick to respond and have the mfg ship out a replacement part. This thing is heavy and will require proper mounting to insure stability but once you've done that its rock solid. Currently supporting an X50NA with LMR600 feedline. It's fairly simple but should ship with basic instructions. I'm not sure how the cotter pins are meant to lock in place (I just used a small roll of gorilla tape larger than the diameter of the hole for the pin). The one design flaw I see is there is no plug or stop at the bottom meaning if you pick it up to move all of the telescoping sections will fall out, you have to carry it with a hand over the bottom and that can bite/pinch your hand fairly bad (use gloves). Overall great product and good customer support from the seller. ... show more

This 5 section mast was absolutely perfect for what I needed. It is well built and very easy to install. Getting 80 OTA TV channels with good signal even with the amp unplugged.
