This rug is the advertised size and it expands nicely out of the vacuum sealed bag it ships in; the creases go away and it lays flat. The base will not move on carpet or a hard floor. But the nap of the rug is frankly bizarre. Ever petted a Persian cat? Well, imagine hairs about twice that length, and twice as fine. Now put your foot down on it. You'll find your foot rotates from side to side as the little hairs slip and slide around. If you aren't careful how you bear weight, you'll twist your ankle, as I did literally the first time I stepped on the rug. My kids enjoyed the weird texture, rolling around and sliding and laughing. But their feet slip around too, and I don't want them injured, so I don't think this rug is going to be a keeper.

The rug is the perfect size, and every inch of it is super soft and fluffy, yet also not too thick. It was easy to to unwrap and open, and once fully uncompressed, it was the perfect shade of gray. The bottom had a no-slip feature which works exceptionally well to make sure it stays in place. Ultimately, this is a rug I would definitely recommend to others.
