We love our dining room table set! It's quality-made from solid hardwood at an extremely reasonable price. And we love the styling and look. But our circumstances might not match yours. We had been searching for a new dining room set locally and on Amazon during the height of the pandemic. Everywhere we looked had a delivery delay of 4-6 months. Finally, this set popped up, so we jumped on it. I had read many of the negative reviews but still felt confident this would work for us. And the real deal closer was Amazon's furniture assembly service. Between my Amazon and Ikea purchases, I have had enough furniture assembly to last a lifetime. The Amazon guys showed up, unloaded, assembled all eight chairs and table, removed all the boxes and packing materials (including vacuuming up the little styrofoam crumbs) and were gone in an hour! All for $89. And BTW, at the time of our purchase, this set was a little more than a $1000, including assembly fees. This is why Jeff Bezos is one of the richest men in the world. My wife and I are retired, so admittedly, the table does not get the rigorous daily workout our solid oak kitchen table does, but it has held up fine for family gatherings and holiday celebrations. I did read where one reviewer had problems with water spots, so I ordered a dark furniture wax and put a couple of coats on and buffed it out and it looks and performs great. No spots. The product was delivered by expected date. The look and shape of the dining table is very good. The instructions to assemble the parts is very good and easy. It is not expensive as well. My only disappointment is with one of the chairs which cracked while screwing the screw labeled as M4x40mm or screw 5 to the one of the rear legs of the chair. This chair obviously is unusable as it is wabbly (not sturdy) raising the question as to the quality of the material used to produced the entire set. In other words, this makes me think that the quality of the material used for the table questionable, not what says it is. Time will tell how long the table will last now with only 5 instead of 6 chairs. Generously, this is why I gave it a 4-star instead of 5. ... show more

This Table and chair setiis not holding up! I haven't had the set a year and the chairs are getting Loose , it dents and scratches very easily. I'm not at all happy with this purchase I should have sent it right back . I would not recommend this table &chair for what it coast not worth it. If your just going to put it in a room to look at it perfect for that. If you going use it everyday for get it. ... show more

Once assembled, all items appear to be sturdy. (For now) Packaging was very good and protected all parts in shipping. Finish/stain is consistent and all areas are covered. Dislikes Some misalignment of key features and very small access areas (too small for adult hands, reqd pinky finger pinch grips to install washers etc) made assy very difficult below table top. Metal rails beneath top have very sharp corners with risk to toddlers; need to file corners , edges smooth, etc. Large table top gaps of butterfly leaf seams are large and unsightly. Not all gaps are parallel to adjacent edges due to some factory misalignment fit and finish. Chairs were difficult to finalize assembly as they kept going out of square as they were carefully tightened. ( Seat panel to back assy, and forward legs) fastener design should be re- engineered as chairs kept rocking unevenly on floor until exhaustive fidgeting and re-loosened- tightened to get them level. Overall, still an average value for the price point. The upcoming months of use will demonstrate overall stability and rigidity. ... show more

It was so scary to buy a dining room set on Amazon, but it was worth the leap of faith. It arrived in a timely manner, earlier than expected. It’s a lovely set with a clever design to hide the table leaf when it’s not being used. It feels like very good quality and my husband was able to assemble it easily in a few hours. One chair had a slight crack in it. We contacted the seller who helped us work with Amazon and it was replaced. Great service from both this seller and Amazon. Very impressed and I would recommend the experience to others. ... show more
