Stop me if you’ve heard this before: welcome to the rainbow machine, in all its synthetic Glory! This one is for experimenters, adventurists, and noisemakers. Totally not for purists and/or tone hounds. There are no “natural sounds” that come from this box. It takes modern DSP and uses it as a tool of future past to create real-time pitch shifting using digital oscillators.

Terrific Unwieldy Machine
Although the Rainbow Machine can get a little out of control, I absolutely love the trill that I can get from this pedal. I use it for a doubling industrial effect, but I’m sure you can find your own sound in there. This pedal will provide a variety of modulations over time with the same settings, which is strange but cool. I assume this is because the delay time sweeps with each attack, and it sounds like that is fed through the modulation/filter to create its boutique tone.

Best special effects pedal ever!!
Yes, this pedal can do musical effects that are usable, but everyone knows the real reason you get this pedal. The usable musical effects done by this pedal can be achieved to a greater extent by a more specified pedal, this pedal is called the "Rainbow Machine", listen to the name. It is specified in making unicorn rainbow sounds from your guitar lol. There is no other pedal out there like it, use it however you will. I use it as a special effect to make my music more interesting. When a pedal can leave you laughing in joy after you receive it, there isn't a person alive who can say that it wasn't money well spent .....

MAGIC!!!!
GREATEST!PEDAL!EVERRRRR!MAGIC!!!! Watch some YouTube demonstrations, I can dial in awesome slapback chorus tones all the way to WTF is this tones. Glad the magic switch is separate allowing for actual usable tones. I wish more pedal builders separated the crazy tones from a more usable tone on their pedals.

Not very useful
First off, I’m a big fan of Earthquaker devices and even Akron, Ohio (go rubber city). Unfortunately, the Rainbow Machine is a lackluster pedal. It makes a plethora of sounds, most of which are useless, or unpleasant. I was hoping to be thrilled with this pedal. I was wrong.

A wondrous device!
Earthquaker makes some really great stuff. This particular device has expanded my psychedelic palette significantly. If you enjoy noodling with spacey sounds into the wee hours then this is your ticket!

Amazing pedal!
This is seriously the coolest guitar pedal I’ve ever owned! It can be very subtle and ethereal, but it can also get insanely psychedelic. You won’t find another pedal that sounds like this

One of my absolute favorite pedals I own
Absolutely worth every penny. Built extremely well. Awesome looking. Sounds like it was made for some Pink Floyd type craziness. Earthquaker Devices are an awesome company with some of the greatest pedals out there. You won’t regret any of them.
