Arrived quick but packaging was jankec up a bit. It is a heavy box. More than 70 lb for sure. Looked to have been re taped closed as well. However everything was in the box and no product damage. Works well on large straight grain pcs, big knots can defeat it but for electric, feel it delivers tne full 5tons. Nice little splitter for splitting smaller fireplace logs. Very easy to use and maintain as it is electric. (Remember to open the pressure release valve before using.) The shipping packaging needs improvement. Better quality foam packing material would probably solve this problem. The first splitter arrived with a cracked hydraulic cylinder and oil all over the inside of the box. I didn’t return it to Amazon but just called the Company Customer Service Dept. They were great and sent me a new one right away that arrived slightly cosmetically damaged but it works just fine. ... show more

The product arrived with the packing in pieces. There are scars and scratches on the legs and else where. I am afraid further damage will be discovered if assembled and used. This appears to be a used product. I paid for a new product.

I purchased this because I dislike small gas engines. With my hybrid truck I was able to run this at my off grid cabin and split all the wood for winter without the headaches of small gas engines. It’s strong and works well. Some of the bolts are cheap and I did have to straighten a frame issue that occurred in shipping. But overall I would purchase it again if I needed a new one. ... show more

firstly, this box looks like Amazon back up really fast, then dammed on the brakes and threw the box across the yard. Secondly, the bags of bolts were not sealed and i had to locate them in the box amongst the shattered styrofoam particles. Third, the stand is really poorly constructed. the angles are off. the alignments are awkward. fourth, there are several bent parts. if i didn’t know how to fix them, i would be really upset. ... show more
