I rarely write reviews because they are time consuming, and to be honest I'm really tired and lazy at the end of the day, but I had to jump on here and write a review because this company has very much earned it. Initially, I was really hesitant to order this. I had the same exact year and model and LOVED my old laptop, but alas, it was not meant to be. One night of FaceTiming with a long distance friend and three glasses of rosé paired with...I don't know, apparently I like to move my hands a lot when I'm excited? Weird, I know...and my laptop got to experience the wine, but not in a good way, and it fried. Now, I'm a Mac girl through and through. Call me trendy, extra, basic, but come on. Have you seen the screens on these things? GORGEOUS. So I wasn't going to but a middle of the road laptop. I had finished college, and I have a desktop in my office for work, so I figured I could bypass a laptop. Nope. Being salaried and a preschool director with a killer new job, I'm going to need a laptop to work from home on weekends. But we all know Apple is not budget friendly. You want a new Apple product? Cool, we're gonna need you to take out a second mortgage or work four jobs for approximately ten years. Yeah, no thanks. After window shopping, I found this beauty. Less than four hundred dollars? Excellent condition? Add to cart. Once I ordered, I realized I didn't check reviews, so off I went, and found they were very mixed. I contemplated cancelling the order, but then figured it was already put through and charged, so I might as well risk it. I am so glad I did. When it arrived, my husband immediately charged it. I got home and saw it sitting on our kitchen island in all its glory. Beautiful color, zero keyboard deficiencies, screen with zero flaws. There is a chip on the bottom right corner of the shell which is very small. You can't notice it unless you are studying it like you're back in high school biology. Installed a case, and you can barely remember it's there. So far, so good. I turned it on very hesitantly, worried that it would have a flaw on the screen, freeze, have a fan that sounded like a turbo jet, any amount of things. Nope. It runs better than my previous one. Setup was simple, my account is connected, runs like a marathon runner who has trained their entire life. I am in love. If this was laptop was a good looking man, I would run away with it. All in all, it runs beautifully and I will one hundred percent be purchasing from this company again. My daughter is going to need a laptop soon, so...take my money. All in all, I'm incredibly surprised in the best way possible. HUGE thank you to this company. I'm so happy.

The good…overnight shipping, very reasonably priced, cosmetically like new. The troubles…after charging, I turned it on to find only Spanish words. I had to go through the entire start up process with google translate. It wouldn’t take my Apple ID & password. I finally got to the Home Screen & figured out how to make English the primary language. Then, I was able to login with my Apple ID. Once logged in, it showed me all my Apple devices, revealing that the “early 2020” MacBook I purchased is actually a “mid 2019.” This really ticked me off! I bought this to work remotely and still have access to my iCloud files. iCloud seems to be working after the update (always an update to run when starting up a new device!), so I’ll give it at least a week before I decide if it was a good purchase or not. Hoping all the troubles are behind me & everything runs smoothly going forward.

UPDATE: It's probably been over a month since I wrote my initial review. After receiving my first MacBook that came with a hardware issue, I immediately reached out to the seller to see if they would replace it. They responded immediately and said they would send me a replacement, so after sending my faulty MacBook in, my replacement came in about a week. Since then, I have had no issues with my new one and I am excited to hopefully have this one for many years! Unfortunately, I am going to need to return the one I received as there is most likely a hardware issue. I am really disappointed because I was really excited for this MacBook! I need this for school and I was planning on using this for many years but I can't spend almost $400+ for it to come broken, I don't have that kind of money. The model I received came with Catalina OS and it had a few issues such as weird frame rate stuff in browser and no sound driver. Both of these issues were fixed when I upgraded to the most recent OS, Sequioa. However, since the night I received it, I have consistently gotten the error message "Your computer was restarted because of a problem" and the error code that it sends to Apple is always the same. There is a kernel panic that I have been told is a major hardware issue and I cannot afford to replace this if the hardware fails anytime soon! I will certainly update this when the issue is resolved, because I love everything about this laptop. The screen is bright and beautiful, the keys are a wonder to press and it's super easy to use (Lifelong Mac User here).

Screen quality is good, I love the color , very quick, good for price, keyboard works good, easy to use but I will say the charger they sent definitely did not work I tried it and I thought at first the laptop didn’t work but I tried another charger n thankfully it was just the charger for it, but I can always get different charger but other than that I got it for school and to edit YouTube videos easy to use and I love it!

When I got my MacBook the box was mostly open it the box was damaged. When i opened the computer itself there is a crack in the corner and the keyboard was filthy and cover in a weird white substance.
