the MacBook runs smoothly and the quality is great. However, the only issue is one of the keys has issues sometimes, and the packaging it arrived in was a significant disappointment; the device was packed in a flimsy cardboard box with no additional protection or bubble wrapping, leaving it vulnerable to potential damage during transit. I’ve had this laptop now for 2 months and it works perfectly! It is updated to the latest iOS. I am happy with it! It has a tiny imperfection on the top corner but is barely noticeable. I had to buy a laptop for a class I am taking. I chose a refurbished model because I did not want to contribute to the ongoing genocide in the Congo related to mining of materials for tech devices. Unfortunately, this MacBook screen has been shutting off without notice since the day I got it. Sometimes it stays on for the whole time I am using it, other times, it shuts off in the middle of my class despite being in use, having no apparent sleep or screen preferences that would indicate such behavior, and without any ability to turn back on. It seems to come back without any input from me. The computer itself is not dead, I can hear the buttons being pushed and it allows shutting off. It’s currently not turning back on despite having saved school work on it that I won’t be able to retrieve before sending it back to be returned. I am now in the position of having to scramble to buy another computer hastily so I can take an in-person exam next week. I’m not sure what is going on, but I am incredibly frustrated and have never had this issue with any other Mac computers I have owned. ... show more

I was ready to return this laptop because it seemed way too good to be true! But don't stop believing baby because this laptop came through (no rhyming pun intended). Truly, this is worth it! Plus you get Amazon's refurbished policy as a "just in case" JUST DO IT!

Shipping took a bit longer than expected and it was shipped via FedEx which made me nervous because FedEx tends to lose packages with tech contents. But, they delivered this one without requiring my signature or anything, they just put the box in front of the door. The laptop came in a big box and it was just sort of loose in there with a generic charger. I turned the laptop on and the battery was at about 70-80% charged. The laptop so far, works well. I installed all my work programs on it and everything runs well. Then the battery was running low, so I plugged it in. The computer continued to work but it stated "Battery not charging". I tried shutting it down and turning it back on...nothing. Then I tried a different USB-C cable that I have that connects to a USB outlet and it finally charged but super slowly. I checked the charger and it's 85W. The MacBook Air uses a 30W. It shouldn't really impact charging of the battery with a higher powered charger so I'm confused why it's not charging. I tried a few different outlets and it works in some outlets but not all. I wrote the seller and they said they'd forward my concern to the proper department. We shall see. I can't comment too much on battery life yet since I just finally got it fully charged but I felt that it drained pretty quickly from 70% to almost 0% but I was also installing and running a bunch of programs. From the outward appearance, the MacBook Air is in great condition. I was a bit nervous from reading some reviews where there was significant damage. This one has one little scratch on one of the sides but that's it. display, keyboard and trackpad are in excellent condition and looks like new. If we get the charger situation resolved then it was definitely a good purchase and I'd recommend it as you can save a few hundred dollars by buying a "renewed" computer. Just updating my review. I took the computer to the apple store and it was determined that the charger was not working properly. So, I purchased an apple charger. The seller has given me a partial refund for about half the coast of the charger, which is fine. The apple store also ran diagnostics on the laptop and said everything is in good shape. this laptop is slim, lightweight and elegant. I not only like the looks of it, feel of it it runs smoothly. im an apple girly, I have my iPhone so it links up with all of my things I already use and makes life a lot easier. I would 10/10 reccomend

It arrived quicker than the initial tracking, and came with no noticeable damage or scratches from what I could tell. I needed a laptop so that I could take my work with me on the go, but didn't have the funds or want to spend a ton of money--so this has been great. Works great and does just what it's supposed to do. I would encourage you to get this if you're looking for a good laptop at a great price. I've had a separate refurbished Apple laptop, not from here, that I used all throughout college and 5 years in a job post college. Refurbished Apple Laptops have not let me down yet! I’ve worked with MacBooks before and enjoyed them. I’m a frequent refurbished phone purchaser and have had no issues so I have refurbished laptops a try. It came really clean (no scratches or cracks, looking almost brand new). The only issue I’ve run into since I’ve had it (about 4 months now) is that the screen goes black randomly. The battery life will show its half-full and suddenly the screen blanks and I can’t get it back on until I plug it in. Not ideal when I’m not sure when/if it’ll happen and if I’m not near an outlet. ... show more
