I have been using these ear plugs for six months. I usually wear ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones at NFL games. We sit right below speakers that blast the music and announcements at the game. I put these ear plugs in and half way through the game realized that I had forgotten to put on the headphones, too and was sitting there watching the game in comfort with just the ear plugs. I've been protecting my eardrums since I started going to thrash bands in highschool. Way ahead of my time. I've always known that someday I'm going to be old and want to hear my grandchildren laughing. I've tried a lot of plugs. They have to be resilient, comfortable, effective, and have decent fidelity for the sound that makes it through. These plugs nail them all! I can even sleep on my side comfortably with them in. I have very small ear canals so I was very hesitant. But the reviews were good and I wasn't disappointed. Make sure you wear them in the correct ear, they are labeled on the back of the plugs. There are two types of plugs in xs, sml, med, lrg. They also come with an extra xs set that comes installed on the plugs. It doesn't take that long to get used to wearing them. No longer than the foam ones and they work just as well. They block out all the maddening sounds that come with living in the city. Do they block out 100% of the sounds, no but what does? That just means if my fire alarm goes off I'll be able to hear it. I sleep fantastic with these in and I'm a day sleeper. Even sleeping on my side and being someone who tosses and turns, if I put them in right they stay in. I was actually surprised. I kind of twist them in and pull down on my ear lobe to get the perfect seal. I love the metal travel case it comes with. You can stick it on your key chain or purse and never end up at a concert without them again. My only issue is how to wash them, there's no instructions. dogs are loud, and dogs barking right in your ear even worse. I use the soft tips and they work great, I can still hear to an extent but the main barking is muted. they sure help with the noise!

I gave these earplugs 3 stars because they are very comfortable, they come with a multitude of different ear pieces, and they come with a nice carrying case. However, they do not at all block sound. They reduce volume a bit so I imagine they may be useful for a very loud room...maybe. I can still hear people speaking 2 rooms away, through 2 closed doors with them in.     • VERY comfortable & VERY effective noise cancellation!
I'm glad I gave these a try! Although I do have a few pairs of Bluetooth earbuds (which are also used for side sleeping), I figured I'd also try a pair of REGULAR earplugs (i.e., if I'm charging my Bluetooth earbuds & need at least few hours of sleep). These are VERY comfortable, EASY to clean and are VERY effective at noise reduction! I work different shifts. If I'm working a day shift, I can resort to using these; if it's a night/overnight shift, then I resort to the Bluetooth earbuds (since there's more noise from the neighbors, during the daylight hours). I was skeptical at first when purchasing these ear plugs, but they were well worth it. They help significantly reduce noise from barking dogs and fireworks to snoring. They are very comfortable both with the silicon tips and the foam tips. I am a belly and side sleeper and they can be worn all night with no discomfort. The carrying case is also great as they hold the plugs and the replacement tips in them and are easy to pack. they are also labeled L and R for the ear they go in.
