I give it 3 stars for the design only, quality is only 1 star. If I could have ordered something different I would have but received just a day before I needed to ship it. I loved the design and color but the fabric is the thinnest nylon fabric I have ever seen. My little niece will probably rip it on her first use. The latch to hold open the umbrella is tricky. A child won't be able to open or close it. I would not buy again.

My 19-month-old picked out this umbrella from the picture, but it's not great for really little kids. My 3-year-old can manage it. But it's fairly large and has metal pieces rather than plastic. I'd recommend the Minnie Mouse or Disney Princess umbrellas you'll find on Amazon over this one for a small child.
