First, as soon as I saw this bike I fell in love with its looks. I have always ridden a cruiser, and this is a perfect spiritual successor to my traditional motorcycle. It is a work commuter, and the speed and distance are reasonably suited for my country road ride. It’s very very close to what I envision as the perfect motorcycle, but there are a few issues I will address below. But the support team has been amazing at helping me with getting the bike registered and on the road. My DMV requested a certificate of origin which was quickly mailed to me by Eahora team. I presented the certificate, a picture of the actual VIN number on bike frame, and my license. These vehicles are new for their system, which requests a cc number, and they entered “0, electric” in that field. I purchased their vehicle title and took a temporary copy to my insurance company and purchased liability coverage. I then took the new title and new insurance card back to DMV and purchased a vehicle tag. The bike rides very differently than a manual gas motor bike. You have to retrain your body to not quickly squeeze the left hand lever which is not a clutch but a break. The electric drive accelerates in first gear quickly towards 25mph and you have to let off the throttle and coast if you want to ride slower than that. This includes on turns, in which it is better to lightly break towards the turn and then full throttle through the turn to accelerate back to full speed. Second and third gear take you up to an average 37 top speed, but I hit 45mph on full charge level ground. You should probably top the charge off every night. I rode to work and back and then let the bike sit a few days. Even though there’s no way I had gone 45 miles yet, my next ride ran out of power a few miles from home and had to be walked back. I have since recharged and keep it topped up rather than risk getting too low. My biggest complaint that I believe should be changed in future design updates revolves around its size and handlebars. The entire bike is a little small for my 6’2” body. From the wheels to the actual frame, this bike should be scaled up in size some. My feet should rest on the pegs slightly forward rather than directly below my knees. But the bigger problem is that the handlebars are far too long. Instead of holding my arms in a comfortable straight arm position, they are bent up at the elbow and again bent down at the wrist, which feels weak in control and fatigues my hands. I will ABSOLUTEL replaced these handlebars professionally chopped to an appropriate height. This both looks dramatically better and makes them safer and more functional. The mirrors also have issues tightening into the handles and continue to get blown loose and misaligned every ride and I removed them because they are optional in Alabama. Now that I have practiced, this bike is a very fun and gorgeous ride I recommend to everyone. It had some minor difficulties, and the handlebar was shortened for this bike to become perfect. But I will be riding it to work for years to come!
