The build quality is higher than I expected. The box states the total wattage can be 200 W. However, the voltage and wattage information is not printed on the adapters. The base is similar to other modern LED bulbs. With the adapter, a candelabra bulb will stick out further than if used in a candelabra base. However, these will work great for using up a bunch of candelabra bulbs if you don't have the right lamp or fixture. Overall, a good value considering how many adapters you receive. ... show more

It works for me! Since this is similarly threaded, it's good thing that they added that white lip. This way, I can be careful in screwing the bulb in without creating damage, yet I don't fear of having this adapter stuck to the main housing.

E26 MEDIUM BASE ADAPTOR TO E12 CANDELABRA These adaptors allows the use of a small candelabra bulb in a light fixture that takes the standard, common medium size light bulb base. These work, however they are slightly taller than others I have bought.

    • Yep. Socket adapters.
Electrician here. These do exactly what they are supposed to do; allow one to use a chandelier bulb in a regular light bulb socket. Yes, I know the numbers. I'm just writing in the common tongue. While using them is very easy, removing them can be a little tricky. Here are a few tricks to help: 1) Attach the adapter to the BULB first. Tighten it down as securely as one can without risking damage. Then, when one screws the bulb into the socket, only screw it down a partial turn past connection. This way, one can remove the adapter by removing the bulb (hopefully, the adapter is tight enough against the bulb so that it does not get stuck in the socket). 2) If the first method fails, and if one manages to get the adapter stuck in the socket anyway, ALWAYS unplug the fixture before attempting to remove the adapter. It should go without saying ( but, unfortunately, it does not), electricity is dangerous. Tools such as needle nose or screwdrivers can close the circuit by touching both the negative (circumference inside/rim) and the positive (protrusion at the inside/bottom of the socket) at the same time, often electrocuting the tool holder. Furthermore, many lamp plugs do not have one blade larger than the other, or a ground blade, the presence of which requires the plug to be inserted into the receptacle using only the correct orientation. This means the lamp could be plugged in backwards, reversing polarity, and making the big circumference rim the "hot" part of the socket, increasing the ease with which one can electrocute oneself. Having said all that... These are pretty cool. Don't be scared. just don't be stupid. ... show more

    • The Contact areas of these adaptors are 100% metal!
I have seen socket adapters that have just a relatively thin contact area, smaller than a 14 gauge wire. These adapters have all metal outside adapters that fit into a socket, and the light bulb socket also has a 360 degree metal conductor. They do feel a blt light and I might strip the outside layer from the adapter just to see the inner workings. I will report anything I find.. ... show more

    • Lets me keep both chandeliers using the same chandelier bulbs!
We have several chandeliers, two of which are almost identical, except their bulb base. I like the "candle-like" light bulbs, but they don't look the same with different bases. Now I can insert these base converters, and use the IDENTICAL bulbs in both chandeliers. Perfect solution for a previously-perplexing problem! Gets my 100% approval -- 5 stars for sure! ... show more
