A bit frustrating to assemble. The tools provided were weak and easily stripped. The brakes are difficult to adjust as some of the parts that appear adjustable are immovable. The instructions do say something about the brakes rubbing but it’ll get better after 50 hard, top speed, brakes (they need to be worn in.. I guess). The battery pack fit wasn’t perfect either. There’s a simple mechanism to lock it into place which didn’t quite line up correctly. I was able to force the fit, but the battery pack rattles as you ride. The power is good, so much so that I flipped myself off the bike when I accidentally throttled. Make sure to practice in an open, safe area before commuting/traveling. The seat slips as you ride, which is really annoying and was listed in other reviews, but it’s otherwise comfortable. The back tire also got a hole in it on my 3 time riding. And since the bikes nuts and bolts are “locked” I didn’t know how to fix/ replace the tire so I filled it with an internal tire seal. Haven’t ridden it since.. I’d have returned it but the shipping was expensive and costs $80 to ship it back. If you want something reliable, probably don’t go with something this cheap. I was hoping to use it for commuting, but this may be better suited for zipping around a neighborhood for fun. ... show more

First of all, don't expect to get a $1200 ebike for $200. With that said, what I did get for $200 (plus $70 shipping & tax) is a really good deal. Add that the ebike's battery and electrical system are safety certified. The certification makes all the difference in the world when you're taking a risk on a "cheap" ebike. My experience: I've owned this ebike for three months and I have not had any of the problems reported in some of the other reviews. My ebike arrived with all the parts and there were no flat tires or damaged parts. I've had no problems with the tools, or the assembly or the pedals breaking. The only problems I've had, and why I don't give this product 5 stars, is because the battery lock has not been installed correctly, so the battery cannot be removed as advertised. The other problem is that the "pedal assist" is basically useless. The only time the pedals will be of any practical use is if the battery is dead. (In order for the pedal assist to be practical there would have to be more gear sprockets on the rear wheel. The single existing ratio is not practical for pedal-assist in my experience.) In practical use this ebike is more of an electric scooter than a pedal-assist ebike. And as it is, it works great and has good power to get you down the road at somewhere between 22 & 25 mph. Again, this is a $200 ebike and not a $1200 ebike. Don't expect things you're not going to get. If you beat on it, it will break. This ebike is great for light-weight commuting on city streets and bike paths (paved). I live on the California Coast where there are lots of hills and stiff winds from the ocean. I commute on this ebike twice a week. And I have found that I need to recharge the battery after 10 miles (each round-trip: 5 miles). But my standard is conservative, I recharge when the battery is at two bars & may actually go another 10 miles on a single charge. How often the battery needs a recharge probably depends on terrain and wind conditions. Finally, the seat issue: Many reviewers have complained about the seat sliding. It's true, the seat will slide IF THE CLAMP IS NOT SUFFICIENTLY TIGHTENED. There is a bolt behind the lever which needs to be adjusted. This will stop the seat from sliding. Further, it is important to check all the clamps on this ebike to make sure they are tight. The clamps will come loose with use and need to be checked & tightened regularly. ... show more

This folding electric bike has been an excellent purchase. It is compact, easy to store and perfect for daily travel or walks around the city. The engine offers very good power to climb slopes and reach a comfortable speed, while the battery provides good autonomy for several routes before needing a recharge. I liked that it is foldable, since it fits easily in the trunk of the car or in small spaces. In addition, the seat is comfortable and the driving feels stable thanks to the suspension and brakes, which respond very well. Mine came without a front axle but I was able to use another without contacting the seller. Would highly recommend buyers also purchase new pedals, and a seat post clamp at the same time. For reference i am a 5'10" 215lbs man. I have been using it for light commuting in the city for a couple of weeks. I added my own basket and phone holder as the ones the bike comes with are pretty cheap. The pedals are plastic and very weak, they would bend under any weight and I did not trust them to hold my weight so I replaced them with aluminum folding pedals. The seat adjustment locking collar is also weak and the seat post is extremely slippery so no matter how tight it was made it would slowly lower during rides until it finally broke entirely. I replaced it with a much more durable locking post and used a rotary tool to remove the paint and etch rings to help it grip. The motor is 350W rated nominal based on its serial number engraving, and it will struggle on hills but does move very well on flat roads and paths. I have tested the range on electric alone to about 10-15 miles with me on it depending on inclines and stops. I pedal on all starts from a stop to assist the small motor. The ~50lbs weight in the listing seems accurate without having placed it on a scale, it is a heavy steel frame so little can be done there. Overall, it fits the purpose I wanted it for and for smaller and lighter riders it is probably fine as-is if it comes with no damage and all parts accounted for. ... show more
