    • Overall good new pilot experience
I sucessfully flew it with the kids for the first time but as a newbe, it was a small project to get here. I came into this with an expectation of easy to find information about a technical hobby. I was about 50% correct. It was actually a little hard to know specifically what to buy to support the glider. It would have helped me to download the operating manual but even then, it's really technical for someone that doesn't already understand how it all works together. That being said, I figured it out. Putting the glider together, I had to sand the wings a little so they would fit. I abandoned the provided stabilizer tape for a better tape solution that ensured the tail wouldn't move. I'm using a 2200 50C LiPo and it gave it a 2 3/4 inch CG vice the target of 3 inches so I found a perfect washer to tape to the tail. Without local help, I'm really happy I practiced flying it on the RF sim with VR and the controller dongle. The nose was heavy on the first flight but I proudly didn't crash. An adjustment to extend the elevator rod fixed that issue. After that super smooth and stable! Kids flew great. Oh, it glides great so expect super long approaches. ... show more

    • Great Glider
My favorite glider. Good for beginners, but can be a little slow and boring if you're used to flying warbirds or EDFs. The lights it looks amazing at dusk and to cut the engine and woosh by, low to the ground - there's no better sound. I had the previous Flite Test version, and it was great as well.

Was on backorder on Horizon Hobby website. So I ordered it here. It came in great condition. The outer box was a little torn up. I took this plane out for its maiden in 15mph very turbulent winds on a cloudy day. Getting it well above all of the trees and keeping the nose into the wind (flying nose heavy of course) and it handled it well. Power off and it just sat there. Doing some zig zags keeping the nose in the wind to bring it back worked well. Then I took it out on a day where sailplanes excel. 2-6mph winds, warm and sunny. On a 2200 3s it stayed in the air for an hour and a half, landing at 11.5V. Getting in and out of thermals with just a little wing movement. Which is a lot better than I expected. The LEDs makes evening flying easier. I can’t see well enough to fly the plane at night however. Thermal hopping during the day is much more enjoyable. ... show more

Flies ok. To get cg where I wanted it I had to install a 1600 mah battery almost as far forward as I could get it
