The receiver emits a tapping sensation, similar to intense vibration, and includes a Pavlovian tone delivering clean, effective stimulation. The finger clicker provides an audible clicking noise for additional training options. The user- selectable levels range from 1 to 100 with "lock and set" technology to prevent overstimulation. A boost feature with a range of 1 to 60 gets your dog’s attention when extra stimulation is needed. The transmitter "stopwatch" design is ergonomic, controls a tracking light with either flash or continuous on the receiver for use after dark. Best purchase for my dog’s training

I adopted a Doberman/Labrador mix puppy. I have a lot of experience training Labradors but this guy was definitely more Doberman. He was difficult to walk, very nippy (think Maligator) and was not listening to my commands after lots of practice. As soon as I started training him with the collar, his personality changed immediately! It only took getting shocked a few times for him to understand. I made the training very positive and used lots of rewards. Very quickly he learned that if he doesn’t listen to the beep, he would get a shock. He only needs a very low setting which I have tried and it doesn’t hurt. It’s like a tens machine. Now he is a perfectly behaved dog that can walk off leash and has strong recall. All thanks to this collar and lots of training. Best purchase I have made for his training.

Worth every penny!!!

This is the second one I've purchased now that we have 2 dogs. I was so against shock collars for a long time because they hurt, and dogs don't learn to trust if they'rein pain or scared. This collar isn't like the cheap ones. Those use static shock which hurts; this uses more of a TENS unit type electrical pulse. I cranked it to 100 to try on myself, and it didn't cause pain, just a muscle jolt. This worked for training my extremely aggressive 120 lb great dane/pit mix, and now it's working with my super gentle plott/pit mix. It's great for all types of dogs to use for continuous training. Plus, I love the flashlight function at night so I can see them in the yard!

Now my unruly puppy knows off the leash does not mean out of reach. Shattered her whole reality when she realized I could still touch her when she was running rampant or obnoxiously snapping and barking at me while dodging my hands trying to stop her. Suddenly she couldn't get away with being a jerk. I can almost walk her off leash now. I'm a believer. E-collars save lives. It's not abuse, it's being responsible and keeping your dog safe. And with this collar the settings can be very subtle. If she started getting out of hand at the dog park this shuts down that behavior before she sets off the wrong dog and possibly gets herself killed. My aunt has personally witnessed the tragic results of this. She's seen dogs mauled and even killed because the wrong button was pushed. Not to mention if your dog yanks the leash out of your hand and chases something across roads. My property is very long and narrow. Only 25 feet wide, but 200 feet long. We have neighbors next to our house on one end of the property and another set of neighbors on either side of the back fence. So she'll be 150 feet away at the back fence crazy barking right next to those neighbors houses at the back of the property and us screaming at her to stop barking and come back inside at 11pm from the back deck at the front of the property just isn't fair to the infant sleeping 20 feet away in the next house. I use vibrate mostly for the barking. Just a little vibration and she doesn't like the feel of it. I use the continuous setting so it repeatedly buzzes until I let go. The zap is kept very low to just get her attention, level 5 out of 100, but in situations like again the dog park I'll crank it up so no matter what happens, no matter how distracted, she won't be able to ignore it and will break off of a potentially dangerous situation. She's not aggressive, but she's a button pusher and one day she might take it too far with the wrong dog.

Within a month one of the charging prong’s corroded. The collar is great but only lasts about 6 hours and frequently disconnects from my the handheld device. Now charging then separate can be cumbersome.

Great product, caution with cable

Pro: This collar is fantastic and a great training aid. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and my blue heeler pup is responding very well. 99% of the time I just push the vibrate button and if I do shock it’s a very low level. For my pup, this is all it takes. Con: My only complaint is the USB charging cable that came with it had an issue. I had the usb plugged in to my wall but didn’t have the collar and remote plugged in to the cable. I smelled a burning plastic smell and realized it was the cable. Both ends that plug in to the collar and remote were melting. I have no idea why but I assume there must have been an internal short. I’ve ordered a replacement cable and will notify the company. Final thoughts. This is a great product annd I would recommend it. After reading all the reviews I’ve not seen anyone mentioning the cable issue so I’m sure mine is a one off.
