  • A very good value
Color: E8-Silver Standard
I've put a little over 50 miles on this bike now, and am very pleased with it. When I got it, the front derailleur shifter was damaged, and the seller did not hesitate to send me a replacement shifter and shift cable. I've always struggled to get the gear alignment on the Shimano 3-ring shifters right, but this one went smoothly, with just one readjustment after my first ride to get consistent shifting from the middle to small ring. I ride the bike mostly for exercise, typically in PAS 1 or PAS 2, and find that the middle and large ring are sufficient. But the low "granny gears" are good to have in case the battery dies. I rode the bike a little bit up some steep hills without PAS, and it is manageable, but much harder than my regular cyclocross bike, even though that bike is geared much higher. The speeds in PAS 1, 2, and 3 appear to be 11, 16, and 19 mph, respectively, which is almost perfect for my use case, of using the bike for moderate intensity cardio, though I am surrounded by very long steep hills in pretty much every direction where it's safe to ride. I use PAS 1 for long steep hill climbs so I can do most of the work, PAS 2 for normal riding (often on unpaved roads), and occasionally PAS 3 on flat paved roads. Shifting is smooth, and the motor generally kicks in fairly smoothly when my pedaling power is insufficient to maintain speed. You can ride this bike with a constant pedaling power output, say 150W, and just let the motor kick in as needed to maintain speed, and get a really good workout, whatever your fitness level. I've never had a bike with a kickstand before (since childhood), and didn't think to check the screws on the kickstand before riding, and one of them must have loosened during shipping, and came off during my first ride. So I replaced both with M5 25 mm Allen bolts with lock washers and bolts. This has held up fine. I can't really complain about this problem, since it was my fault for not doing the proper maintenance checks before riding. My only legitimate complaint about the bike is the speedometer, which doesn't read accurately when you are pedaling with PAS turned on. I plan to remedy this by installing the same kind of bike computer that is on my 'cross bike (only $30). Also, I would like to change the PAS settings so that PAS 1 is 7 mph so that I can do really steep hill climbs on trails or roads along the river where I live, unassisted by motor power, using the granny ring , but with the motor being there as a backup in case I run out of energy. But neither of these issues is enough to warrant deducting a star, given the cost of this bike, and the overall build quality. Finally, the tires and tubes on the bike seem to be okay, but I do plan to put Schwalbe Marathons on it with Sunlite Thorn Resistant tubes once the factory tires start to wear. I've had this combination on my road bikes over many years and have never had a flat even after driving through glass and metal debris from accidents, whereas with other supposedly flat-proof tires, I'd get a flat every week or two (there's lots of truck traffic where I live, and hence, lots of tire-damaging debris on the side of the road). Also, it's worth noting that I rearranged the stuff on the handlebars a little when I replaced the shifter to improve the ergonomics, and I feel this improves ease of using the thumb throttle on the right side and shifting on the left (see picture 2). ... show more

  • 940 miles an still great
Color: E8-Blue Standard
Really good bike, first imma 6'2" male 295lbs. It's. Runs great for 940 miles on it so far. So around 400 to 500 miles I noticed a rattling noise so I thought it was the motor cause I'm a large guy an thought I was putting it though it's paces. So I ordered a new back tire for like 270ish give or take. Come to find out it was just the kickstand that got a little loose. So I guess I got an extra motor when this one goes bad lol. Make sure you tighten your bar stem cause after a little bit of riding it comes loose as well. My back tire tread was getting low around 600ish miles cause I only ride on pavement so all I did was swap the front tire with the back one an now I'm good for awhile longer. Tops out around 33mph on a flat surface. Depending on the grade of the road I go from 18 to 38 mph. Acceleration is good brakes are good but I need to buy me some new brake pads considering I'm at 940 miles. Battery is good I ride at full power and the longest I've went is around 16 miles and still had 2 bars left so I'm sure it can probably go at least 20 miles maybe 25 but don't wanna test that lol. Putting it together was easy. It's weighs around 49 lbs. The light on it is good I mainly ride at night so that helps a lot. A little after 900 miles I stared to hear clicking noises when I pettle so I'm trying to figure out wats the problem with that. But all in all it's and amazing bike for the price. The size is good for taller people as well. I'm might of left out a few things idk but it's an amazing bike to have. Hope this helps anyone on here considering this bike :) edit: I've found out what the clicking noise was. I just need to oil the bottom bracket now I'm almost to 1100 miles now ... show more

  • Great bike, but :)
Color: E8-Blue with Handlebar Riser
To start I could easily rate this bike 5 stars. The only reason I'm rating it 4 stars is that the description of the bike states it comes with a rear rack. "SLEEK DESIGN & TOP-NOTCH ACCESSORIES EQUIPPED: This electric road bike boasts a sleek and stylish look, complete with a headlight, taillight, horn, mudguards, rear rack, phone holder with USB charging port, smart LCD display, metal pedals, adjustable saddle, and sturdy kickstand. Its ergonomic design ensures a safe and comfortable ride." However, no rear rack comes with this bike. Other than that, the assembly was easy and straight forward other than how to assemble the fenders. It took me awhile to figure out how to assemble the front fender. I was impressed with the speed and how quickly it accelerates. The gear changing is a bit awkward to place the gear on the right sprocket without it making some noise. Brakes work very well. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. ... show more
