  • A very good value
Color: Silver Style: E8 - 21 Speed
I've put a little over 50 miles on this bike now, and am very pleased with it. When I got it, the front derailleur shifter was damaged, and the seller did not hesitate to send me a replacement shifter and shift cable. I've always struggled to get the gear alignment on the Shimano 3-ring shifters right, but this one went smoothly, with just one readjustment after my first ride to get consistent shifting from the middle to small ring. I ride the bike mostly for exercise, typically in PAS 1 or PAS 2, and find that the middle and large ring are sufficient. But the low "granny gears" are good to have in case the battery dies. I rode the bike a little bit up some steep hills without PAS, and it is manageable, but much harder than my regular cyclocross bike, even though that bike is geared much higher. The speeds in PAS 1, 2, and 3 appear to be 11, 16, and 19 mph, respectively, which is almost perfect for my use case, of using the bike for moderate intensity cardio, though I am surrounded by very long steep hills in pretty much every direction where it's safe to ride. I use PAS 1 for long steep hill climbs so I can do most of the work, PAS 2 for normal riding (often on unpaved roads), and occasionally PAS 3 on flat paved roads. Shifting is smooth, and the motor generally kicks in fairly smoothly when my pedaling power is insufficient to maintain speed. You can ride this bike with a constant pedaling power output, say 150W, and just let the motor kick in as needed to maintain speed, and get a really good workout, whatever your fitness level. I've never had a bike with a kickstand before (since childhood), and didn't think to check the screws on the kickstand before riding, and one of them must have loosened during shipping, and came off during my first ride. So I replaced both with M5 25 mm Allen bolts with lock washers and bolts. This has held up fine. I can't really complain about this problem, since it was my fault for not doing the proper maintenance checks before riding. My only legitimate complaint about the bike is the speedometer, which doesn't read accurately when you are pedaling with PAS turned on. I plan to remedy this by installing the same kind of bike computer that is on my 'cross bike (only $30). Also, I would like to change the PAS settings so that PAS 1 is 7 mph so that I can do really steep hill climbs on trails or roads along the river where I live, unassisted by motor power, using the granny ring , but with the motor being there as a backup in case I run out of energy. But neither of these issues is enough to warrant deducting a star, given the cost of this bike, and the overall build quality. Finally, the tires and tubes on the bike seem to be okay, but I do plan to put Schwalbe Marathons on it with Sunlite Thorn Resistant tubes once the factory tires start to wear. I've had this combination on my road bikes over many years and have never had a flat even after driving through glass and metal debris from accidents, whereas with other supposedly flat-proof tires, I'd get a flat every week or two (there's lots of truck traffic where I live, and hence, lots of tire-damaging debris on the side of the road). Also, it's worth noting that I rearranged the stuff on the handlebars a little when I replaced the shifter to improve the ergonomics, and I feel this improves ease of using the thumb throttle on the right side and shifting on the left (see picture 2). ... show more

  • I promise for under 1500 this is the best ebike you can buy on Amazon
I just want y'all to know this has been amazing. I am so satisfied the ONLY thing I bought that I didn't like stock is an aftermarket headlight that mounts to the handlebars. The included kind of aims up at the sky and can't be adjusted. That said this thing goes 34mph LIKE IT SAID straight out the box. When putting the front wheel and handlebars on kind of poor instruction videos but a tip for you is the stem needs to be spun around. Other than that I've gotten 30 miles using JUST the throttle I never pedal. Oh yeah and 34mph I should have said NO PEDAL ASSIST JUST THROTTLE!!! I have gotten to literally 40mph down hill!!! AMAZING ... show more

  • Climbs hills very good.
Color: Blue Style: E8 - 21 Speed
The item meets expectations as advertised. I am 270 lbs and ride in a hilly area with a maximum climb of about 1000 feet. I ride in high power 5 constantly and get 20 miles on the fully charged battery before it registers no bars when riding and 2 bars when stopped. The bike goes up hills faster than I expected. I am very satisfied with this product and customer service is very good also. ... show more

  • WORTH THE MONEY!!
Color: Blue Style: E8 - 21 Speed
i was wanting an e bike for a couple months now and had a hard time figuring out with the best bang for my buck was after many days and weeks of research i stumbled upon this bike and it seemed like it was the bike for me, i ordered it, i think i payed $880 after taxes and fees and two days later it was there on my front door step, after a few simple assembly procedures the bike was all put together and ready to ride, once i got it out and on the road i install put it in pedal assist 5 and pushed the throttle all the way and within 5-8 seconds i was up to 35 miles per hour, i was very impressed, this bike truly had torque and speed, so i rode it around for about 2 hours putting about 36 miles in total so far on one charge throttle only. so in my opinion if you are looking for a fast nice e bike for a low price this is the way to go ... show more

  • Great starter bike.
Color: Blue Style: E8 - 21 Speed
Great and fun bike to ride. I'm just a recreational rider. Bike is fun. The only issue i have with the bike is that the bike seat post screw came stripped and it was hard to adjust the seat. After finding ways to adjust the seat, it would just go back to an uncomfortable position because the screw wouldn't hold it in position. Otherwise, I would have given this review a 5 star. ... show more

  • Love the E-bike and this merchant
First off, I love the bike. It performs better than expected. I weigh about 250 pounds and this thing will get up to 35 miles an hour on a level path. The bike came with a wire that had been ripped out of the throttle. After contacting the merchant, they sent me a new throttle within hours and it arrived a few days later. Now the bike is running smooth and I’ve already got about 50 miles on it. ... show more
