I’ve been waking up for years coughing in the morning. I keep an immaculate house, but I would wake up every single morning with a stuffy nose and coughing matter what. I bought this Dyson thinking that I was really going out on a limb and spending a lot of money for a stupid reason, but I was I wrong as it turns out this is all but alleviated my coughing and sneezing and wheezing that I’ve suffered for years with. I had no idea this could make such a difference in my life. I also don’t like gizmos and gadgets so nobody is more surprised than me. That said, one of my favorite features of this item is that you can set it to auto and it will sense when the quality of the room air drops and automatically turn itself on to the lowest speed needed to clean the air in the room, I keep it running in my bedroom pretty much 24 seven now and when it runs all the time it barely needs to run the fan. By using it that way it’s almost silent when running all day. I’ll be buying one from my office and I intend when I can afford it to get another one for my living room. The other nice thing about them is that the design is really unobtrusive anyway, this is definitely a five-star item, and I hate to say this, but well worth the price. ... show more

Assuming like most people I was pretty apprehensive about buying such an expensive fan. I held off for quite a while, but I had a huge pain point with my old tower fan. There was no way to clean inside the fan and as it accumulated more and more dust, it began to shoot out dust balls... everywhere. Being a clean person, I found this disgusting. So what was the solution? A blade less fan with no inside mechanism to collect years worth of dust. Dyson came to the table with a solution and I so far love this fan! No blades, no dust! As a fan it operates beautifully creating a pretty strong breeze for my bedroom. The air purifier seems to work great, and the first night I used it I actually slept through the night! Next huge feature for me is the smart home options. Setting the app up was super easy, and better yet it works with Alexa! Setting up both the app and Alexa commands took all of 5 minutes. You can operate the fan from anywhere so you can turn it on before you even return back hom from work which is pretty awesome! The data collected from the app could be a bit more useful as the graphs don’t really tell much. Other than that I have no complaints and only praise for this product! It’s also a pretty decent price right now on Amazon so I didn’t feel too guilty buying it. This fan is state of the art. This is my Second cool link. Yes, that's right they work so great I have two. To address the negative reviews, This is NOT an air conditioner so it does not lower ambient temperature. However, it does keep my room 2-3 degrees cooler and circulate the air. This clears up my allergies for sure. So much so that I notice a life changing difference. Only downside is the price but it is worth every bit. I've had other brands of air purifiers and they do not work nearly as well. Some people prefer washable filters, but to be honest these Dyson kind are better. If you live with lots of animals inside the house don't expect this purifier to work miracles in the whole house, you might need to get two like I did. My Belgium Shepard thinks he is a puppy still and climbs all over my bed, tables, and couch.With this purifier I do not feel irritated by my pet. Dyson's customer service is awesome. Also, on the low setting you can hardly hear this fan so you can sleep easy at night while having pure air. UPDATE** I discovered an easy way to gently clean the filter once every 2-3 weeks. I quickly spray dust-off around the filter to clean dust and other debris off the filter. Seems to make it blow even stronger. ... show more

4.6 / 5 stars This is the imo best looking most effective fan/air purifier combo on the market. It makes the least noise per amount of air it pushes out of any fan I've owned which alone makes it worth its cost if you're sensitive to noise. It's also as powerful as dysons fan-only products with 10 power settings and completely programmable through its wifi enabled android or ios app which works well. I can't yet comment of the effects of having an air purifier, but it surely doesn't hurt especially if you live in an area with low air quality or have carpets. Dyson made one design mistake with this unit: no physical buttons and a remote that lies upside down on the top of the unit, magnetically attached. This makes it slightly impractical to set the fan speed, but is far from a deal breaker. You can also control the speed from the app. The price is high, but it's a long term investment and the best product on the market for what it does. ... show more
