This fan is state of the art. This is my Second cool link. Yes, that's right they work so great I have two. To address the negative reviews, This is NOT an air conditioner so it does not lower ambient temperature. However, it does keep my room 2-3 degrees cooler and circulate the air. This clears up my allergies for sure. So much so that I notice a life changing difference. Only downside is the price but it is worth every bit. I've had other brands of air purifiers and they do not work nearly as well. Some people prefer washable filters, but to be honest these Dyson kind are better. If you live with lots of animals inside the house don't expect this purifier to work miracles in the whole house, you might need to get two like I did. My Belgium Shepard thinks he is a puppy still and climbs all over my bed, tables, and couch.With this purifier I do not feel irritated by my pet. Dyson's customer service is awesome. Also, on the low setting you can hardly hear this fan so you can sleep easy at night while having pure air. UPDATE** I discovered an easy way to gently clean the filter once every 2-3 weeks. I’ve been suffering from seasonal allergies and air purifiers can be a life saver for me. This Pure Cool Link gets the job done in a minimal, modern design. No matter where you put it, it can circulate clean air throughout the entire room. It has an app you can download to control the unit. It also comes with a small remote that you can you use when you don’t have access to your smartphone or tablet. It’s pretty quiet when it’s working. If you’re looking for an efficient, high-tech air purifier Dyson is a good option for you. It’s pricey but worth it! ... show more

    • The quietest fan / air purifier combo on the market
4.6 / 5 stars This is the imo best looking most effective fan/air purifier combo on the market. It makes the least noise per amount of air it pushes out of any fan I've owned which alone makes it worth its cost if you're sensitive to noise. It's also as powerful as dysons fan-only products with 10 power settings and completely programmable through its wifi enabled android or ios app which works well. I can't yet comment of the effects of having an air purifier, but it surely doesn't hurt especially if you live in an area with low air quality or have carpets. Dyson made one design mistake with this unit: no physical buttons and a remote that lies upside down on the top of the unit, magnetically attached. This makes it slightly impractical to set the fan speed, but is far from a deal breaker. You can also control the speed from the app. The price is high, but it's a long term investment and the best product on the market for what it does. ... show more

This air purifier is a great product that combines functionality, design and a really cool app. The fan is really whisper quite at the lower settings and very acceptable at the higher settings. We feel that it has improved the air quality in our great room. The remote for the device has been rarely used since there is a phone application and if you are like me you have your phone nearby more often then you have a remote for yet another household device. Another purifier is under consideration for the house but the price is a bit much, that will only act as a delay since when the comparison was made with other purifiers this Dyson came out on top for initial price, replacement filter price and footprint. ... show more

    • expected more but, still like it.
i expected a bit better of a quality product for being a dyson, let alone over $400 for a basic non-ionizer purifier fan. To me it looks elegant but, the material used is a tad bit on the cheap light side and not very heavy duty and i foresee waking up and seeing it laying on floor one of these days if cats decide to stand against it, Still i like it so far anyhows. -read some verizon connecting issues but, i had no issues connecting this & app through our verizon fios wifi using my ipad. it went smoothly & was pretty simple to do. -level 8-10 is not that quiet, 10 is pretty darn loud but, sure puts out an airflow that i could feel over 12ft away. -level 1 is useless, no airflow whatsoever on unit i got and level 2 puts out less air than me gently blowing puts out so its close to wortless too! -level 6 is comparable to our table top bladed fan on low level, 8 like on med and 10 like on high. -level 6 noise is okay but, still can hear it with tv on semi loud, level 6 is the highest level we can tolerate while watching tv. -unit on occassion makes light clicking noise when oscillating. -purifier so far is not helping any. Will give it a couple more days with it on 24hrs each day but, if it keeps saying our air quality in living room is 'very poor' than obviously this dyson is not sufficient enough for our pet friendly home and i will go back to using our hepa ionizer purifier that could keep up better. overall i am happy with this but, also kinda not if that makes any sense. update: took almost 3 days being on level 5 all day but, the air quality in our living room/dinning room area now usually says 'good' throughout the night till around 10AM. between 10AM and 10PM (10pm is when we head upstairs for the night) air quality is always fair to poor, i guess us moving about stirs up dust/kitty dander.. update: finally got off my behind and changed filter and was quite surprise to feel light air blowing up at my face as i was wiping inside part of unit down and that was AFTER i turn unit off and took filter out!! don't recall that being mentioned anywhere i read?? which means this unit is constantly using electricity even when you turn it off and also means you don't need fan on for unit to purify house although it will only do it lightly on off. i blew vapor at unit and it did suck in some of the vapor on off.. ... show more
