I ordered this thinking it was a styling product that I would put into my damp hair after washing. Once received, I realized it's a POST-STYLING serum, which is something I normally don't use because I have thin fine hair. So, mildly put off by the complex looking dispenser and my irritation at ordering the wrong thing, I let this sit around for a few days, deciding what to do. Finally I decided to just try it, thinking it would probably be greasy and weight down my hair. I needed only a single pump because I don't have much hair. The slightly floral scent is mild. I rubbed through my hands and applied with an open palm to my styled hair. I was very happy to see flyaways disappear and with the light, non-greasy nature of the serum. My hair never looks shiny due to frizz, but this lasted the day with a great shine and no frizz or flyaways, The biggest thing is, people noticed and complimented my hair. That never happens, ha ha. The pump mechanism turned out to be great, and I really like this serum. It gives my hair a fighting chance to look normal. It appears that you'll have to go to the site itself for the refills. I appreciate the thoughtful, earth-friendly design.

This Dyson Chitosan Post-style Serum has some cool features, but finding out what's actually in it was a bit of an adventure! - Clever Dispenser: The built-in dispenser is ingenious! It gives you a consistent amount of product, which is super convenient for repeat applications. - Refillable... Sort Of: It claims to be refillable, but the refills aren't on the Amazon listing. You have to go to the Dyson website to find them (and save a few bucks). - Frizz Fighter: I used two pumps on half of my shoulder-length 2B/C hair (air-dried) to break the gel cast (usually I use a bonding oil). On day one, both sides looked similar, but on day two, the serum side definitely had less frizz and more definition. - Moisture Lock - Important Note: This serum locks in moisture, it doesn't add it. So, make sure your hair is well-hydrated before you use it. If your hair is dry to begin with, this product won't magically fix that! - Ingredient Mystery: I had to do some serious sleuthing on the Dyson website to get the full ingredient list. 🕵️♀️ (I've included it below for your convenience.) - Ingredient Red Flags?: The ingredient list includes dimethicone (a silicone that can build up), "parfum" (fragrance, which can be irritating), and phenoxyethanol (a preservative) which some people prefer to avoid. If you're looking for a serum that helps with frizz and provides a flexible hold, this Dyson one is worth considering. Just be prepared to do a little digging for the full picture, understand its moisture-locking function, and consider potential ingredient sensitivities. I was initially a bit unsure about this hair serum, as I mistakenly thought it was a pre-styling product. However, I've ended up being quite impressed. The dispenser is ingenious; it's refillable (though refills are easiest to find on the Dyson website) and dispenses a consistent amount of serum. I love its magnetic lid design. The serum itself has a light, slightly floral scent. It's lightweight and doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. I've found it really effective at taming frizz and flyaways, giving my hair a noticeable shine and softer feel. Even in humid weather, it helps my hair look good. It's worth noting that this serum locks in moisture, so it works best on hydrated hair. While it's a bit pricey, a little goes a long way. Some people might want to be aware that it contains dimethicone, fragrance, and phenoxyethanol. Overall, though, I'm very happy with how well this serum works, especially for frizz control and adding shine.

Ingenious container uses magnets to keep the lid intact and dispenses a measured amount of product. I absolutely love the design. The product has a light scent and emulsifies easily in between the palms. I noticed a little stickiness in my hands but that dissipated quickly. I dispensed two pumps (I have thin medium length hair) and applied it evenly through my dry hair. It did not weigh down my hair at all but I definitely noticed a visible difference to appearance. My hair was softer and the frizzies were tamed. Even after a day in pretty humid weather, my hair looked great. I do find that this product is a big on the pricey side but a little goes a long way so I expect this to last me quite awhile. Very impressed with this hair serum!
