This is such a gamechanger! I wished they came out years ago. No need to change barrels now, just use only one now. I have long hair with the older airwrap (1st gen) and it fits and works beautifully!!! It wraps the ends of my hair way easier and I'm not sure but the grip is alot better as well. Totally worth the $40. Now I can have blowout hair!!!

The 1.6-inch long barrel is a great Airwrap attachment when you want bigger, softer curls instead of tighter ones. The longer barrel is especially helpful for longer hair because I can fit more of a section around it at once. That makes styling feel quicker and less frustrating than working with a shorter barrel. The black and rosé combination is beautiful and looks very polished. It connects to the Airwrap easily and feels secure while being used. I really like the loose, bouncy curl it creates because the result looks more like a blowout. The larger barrel is also nice when I want volume and movement rather than defined ringlets. It feels sturdy and well made, and the finish looks great in person.

This barrel is a great option if you prefer larger, looser curls instead of tighter ringlets. The 1.6-inch size creates a softer, more natural-looking style that works well for everyday wear and adds volume without looking overly styled. I ordered this because I recently picked up a used Dyson Airwrap™ i.d. multi-styler, and it came with barely any attachments, so I’ve been slowly filling in the gaps with the ones I know I’ll actually use. Since my hair is longer, I specifically wanted something designed for that length, and I tend to reach for looser, bouncier curls more often than tighter ringlets for everyday styling. The 1.6” long barrel felt like the right fit for giving me that softer, more voluminous look while still keeping things polished. One of the biggest reasons I stuck with the actual Dyson attachment is that I did not want to gamble on fit or performance. With styling tools like this, off-brand options can be really hit-or-miss, and I wanted something that would attach properly, feel secure, and actually perform the way it should. This fits my Airwrap i.d. perfectly, locks in exactly the way it should, and feels just like an original part of the system rather than some random add-on. Performance-wise, this does exactly what I wanted it to do. The larger barrel creates softer, looser curls and waves that feel more effortless and bouncy on my longer hair.
