    • Best money I ever spent
This is the best investment I've made. If you have hair that is thick enough for one follicle could be used as floss for your teeth, I imagine you spend half the amount of time I get ready. Normally I would have a blow dryer to dry my hair first, then I would straighten my hair with a separate hair straightener. Then I would blow dry it cold because when you have thick, dark hair, it can be a sweat-inducing activity. Now, I just use the Airstrait and maybe brush my hair to style but otherwise I use the Airstrait for 35 minutes as opposed to the 1.5 hours I would normally spend on my hair. ... show more

    • Damaged but got refund
Had to return it it didnt turn on even after troubleshooting like the manufacturer and some youtube videos said. Got all the money back.

    • Fast way to get straight hair
One of the reasons I love the airStraitght Dyson is because it is really quick to use and strengthen my hair fast (I have wavy thick hair) . I use it most of the time on dry hair. My only complain is that is bulky and heavy and my hand gets tired. Also, I tend not to grab too much hair because it won’t work as well. Also, if you want a straight hair with your hands very straight down then this will work, but if you wanna blowout look, this won’t work you’ll have to have the other dyson airwrap that has the special attachments to give volume at the end of the hair. ... show more

    • It works on my long, verythick, curly hair
This helps to speed up drying and straightening my very-very long, thick, curly hair to a straight state. I do follow up with a flat iron (GHD Chronos) to give it that last final sleek polishing look. This airstraight works better than my: shark flex and revlon heated round brush. It is also a million times easier to use by myself and makes for a smoother result than when I used my ghd blow dryer with a round brush or comb attachment. ... show more

    • Per Dyson, they know this straightener will not operate above 6500ft in Altitude
Just received this brand new unit, at our home in Florrisant, CO Altitude 8560 ft. As soon as we took it out of the box and plugged it in, after hitting the power button, we got a reset power error on the little LCD screen. After 10+ attempts to reset the power, plugging the unit in and out of the outlet, still no operation and the same error. Went on a Dyson forum, and found out that other people have had the exact same issue. The thing all these other people, and myself have in common is that we live at high altitude, like I mentioned before, I live at around 8560ft in CO. After a lot of waisted time on the phone with Dyson, they admitted that this brand new straightener will not operate above 6500ft in altitude. Pretty shocking that Dyson would not let resellers know of this limitation, My opinion of Dyson dropped a few steps after this experience. So if you live at altitudes anywhere near 6500ft or above, do not by this product. Amazon needs to somehow do a check on the locations and altitudes of customers ordering this item and refuse to sell it to anyone living above 6500ft in altitude. ... show more

This cuts the time between having to blow dry my hair and straighten it as it does both at the same time. Although I prefer the volume I get with a blow dryer and a brush, this is great for those days when I want to wear my hair straight. While I think this is a good buy, its probably not going to replace any of your other tools. ... show more
