INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNWRAPPING THE MATTRESS- by me, as the instructions that came with it were not good at all: 1. Pull the 80lb mattress out of the box. 2. My mattress was rolled so that I should have unrolled it from top to bottom (not side to side*.) 3. If you see the pretty design on the outside of the rolled mattress, be aware that the mattress is rolled the "wrong" way (with the top of the mattress being on the outside of the roll.) 4. CAREFULLY cut the outer plastic that keeps the vacuum-sealed mattress rolled up. Remove this plastic. 5. If your mattress came with pillows, they would be inside the rolled mattress. 6. The mattress has to be unrolled, and will probably be upside down. Flip it over. 7. The pretty white design side goes up, and the ugly side with the zipper, and brown edging towards the bottom goes down. 8. If you have a king mattress, I'd take this opportunity to verify you have it going the right direction*! Get out your tape measure. A regular king is 76" x 80". That's 76" across (side to side,)and 80" long (head to toe.)(*LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE! Mine was already expanding and I ended up having to turn it, which was almost impossible by myself in cramped quarters!) 9. CAREFULLY cut the plastic along the edges of the mattress, and remove the plastic from around and under the mattress. 10. I'd give the bed 3 days to expand, minimum. It seems expand faster in the middle than the edges as they were squished more. You can probably sleep on it the first night, but I'd recommend removing the sheets daily for the first 3 days to allow proper expansion, and ventilation. Within a few hours, my 10" mattress was around 9"+ on the edges. 7/24/13: I have to say, I think I'm already in love with it, and I haven't even slept on it yet. Here are some other points: 1. The packaging wasn't great, my cardboard box was split and half open. But the mattress was fine. Had the plastic been punctured, you'd know because it would probably expand like a marshmallow in the microwave and bust the box open. 2. After purchasing a ventilated memory foam topper a few months ago, I have to say the odor on this is barely noticeable. It just smells new. The topper's chemical odor (outgassing) stunk up my apt for a good 2 weeks. UPDATE- 6/9/15 So I've had this mattress for nearly 2 years. For all of you who are wondering- here is your update. The mattress is as good as when I bought it. I've been sleeping on it this whole time and I love it. It is a firm mattress, but with enough cushion for normal sized people. I think it's best over a boxspring, but on a platform works too. I love that it isn't hot! I have a foam pillow also and it's quite warm, but my mattress stays cool! It's been an excellent buy for the price, especially considering that to get one at a mattress store would have cost at least $2000! Update 5/2/18 The mattress has developed areas near the edges where the foam later isn't recovering anymore. Spinning the mattress around helps for a bit, but then it just does the same thing again. It looks ok visually, but you can really feel it. I think it's just not firm enough for a heavy side sleeper. ... show more

This mattress is pretty firm. I sometimes wish it was a bit softer, but apparently it’s good for me because I never wake up sore or stiff from it like I did with my softer mattress. I sleep really well on it. Has been worth it so far. The 72x80 was perfect for my camper.

I was a little worried about this mattress due to how small it seemed when we got it. We bought it for our camper. It is the perfect length. Set up was super easy, just put it in the spot you want it and unwrap it. Took a couple days for it to grow to its normal size. We've slept on it several times and still feels comfortable. 8/12/2013. One week update.... When I first reviewed this mattress, I mentioned that due to a head cold, I could only faintly smell the chemical odor of the new mattress. Now that my cold is finally clearing up, I am able to tell that the smell is still present -not overly strong, but definitely not faint. Last night, I decided to sleep in my old bed because of the smell. Well, that was a big mistake! I can absolutely say that despite the smell, the new mattress is a thousand times more comfortable than our old mattress. On the new Dynasty Mattress, I wake up feeling rested, and I'm comfortable the moment I lie down. This morning, after sleeping on the old mattress, I awoke with aches all over. I will contact Dynasty today to see if they have any suggestions for getting rid of the smell. I still rate the mattress four stars. 8/5/2013 After a few months of research (and saving $$), my husband and I decided to purchase this mattress - our first memory foam product. Thanks to Prime shipping, the mattress arrived in two days. It was well packaged, clean, and included simple instructions for use and warranty information. The instructions stated that we should wait for 72 hours before sleeping on the mattress, and although we were anxious to try it out, we waited for the full 3 days. I've had a terrible head cold, so I was unable to detect any chemical smell at all (which is odd because I have a very sensitive nose AND I'm 8 months pregnant!) My husband ( who will be posting his own review at some point) still detects a very faint smell, so when my head clears up, I'll see if I can smell anything too. One of my biggest concerns about the mattress was that many "side-sleepers" report that the mattress is too firm, and they are uncomfortable sleeping on their sides. Because I'm 8 months pregnant, I HAVE to sleep on my side! However, I'm happy to report that my first and second nights sleeping on the new mattress were very comfortable. I got a very restful, sound, and good night's sleep. I do find the mattress to be very firm - but I am most comfortable on very firm mattresses. I am 5'6, and 220lbs pregnant. In the past, I've experienced back pain when I've slept on soft mattresses, so I really appreciate the firmness of the mattress. I think that other people who need firm support will really like this mattress too. However, if you don't like firm mattresses, then I'm not sure that this would be the one for you. My second concern is that many of the reviews are very recent, and I don't think that any are more than two years old - so I don't have any way to judge the stamina of the mattress. It feels quite (sturdy? durable?) and I think it will go the distance. I'm holding out on 5 stars because I'm sure I'll need to readjust once I've had the baby, and I want to see how it feels in a year. I will follow up on this review, and hopefully feel confident enough to give it 5 stars when I do, but right now I am very, very, very happy! ... show more

Very comfortable, best mattress I've ever had. It's been almost four weeks since i purchase this mattress, it's soft and firm, and is perfect for my body. I purchased a queen size and it fits nicely between my two side standards on each side of the bed.
