I work long hours in all types of conditions, most of which require some degree of foot protection. I've also suffered soft tissue damage in one foot. Very difficult for me to find suitable footwear. These are mesh so they are not waterproof, but I have used them effectively in all but the most inclimate weather. I just received my third pair - but not because the others wore out. These shoes work so well for me AND the price keeps dropping so I'm kinda stockin up! They do NOT give you that "gym-shoe" like feel. But, especially at this price point, the soles provide adequate traction, the composite toe guard is comfortable - for 12 hour shifts! - and they clean up fairly well. The size 11" is just like 10". I supposed to use this pair of safety shoes for my job as Technician. But I am not able to use it due to uncomfortable fit feels to tight no allowance to the toe hitting the steel toe.

I would've given them more stars, but one of the criteria was waterproof. Which they aren't. But I didn't expect them to be. So with that being said, I love them. They don't last as long as some of the more expensive ones, but they make up for it with your budget. On another note, the toe has a lot of room. Its October and two years ago in October I ordered a pair of these. Other steel toes shoes I've bought usually lasted six months or so. These have lasted two years, with just replacements of the in souls. I'm glad to be surprised by this longevity! Soon I'll be buying another pair! Update: I'm surprised I haven't had to replace this yet as I wear them a lot. Safety shoes are steel toe shoes in my experience and these do feel like they have steel caps for toe protection. So I have to disagree with the review that said they weren't. The only negative I've experienced is the need to buy inserts to replace the ones that were in the shoe. I've had to do that with every steel toe safety shoe I've ever bought, because I tend to wear the toe part down with the way I walk. I'll be getting a new pair soon. My first experaiance was that I had to buy a new pair of steel toe sneakers every six months roughly. Then I bought this brand in Oct 2019. While the bottoms have worn and I use inserts instead of the original inside piece to increase comfort and control foot order, I'm still using these. I do alternate with regular sneakers but usually slip these on even for everyday walking. I'm glad I bought them!! ... show more
