If you are thinking about buying this I would highly recommend. It may seem pricey to some folks however I firmly believe there is no other handheld portable tungsten grinder that comes close to this. I would even compare this to the dedicated grinding station like a Piranha III Tungsten Grinder. I have worked indoor and outdoors for an aerospace company and this was always my go to as for almost all other welders there. Only thing I would recommend getting is a finer grit (in which the company sells) because this comes with a medium grit which leaves some marks (as you can see from other reviews) but I believe they do this on purpose because with each use it tends to wear down eliminating that problem. Even with the fine grit I had bought separately I had sharpened 5 newly fresh tungstens for it to start wearing down and leaving little to absolutely no marks at all after the few uses, but the trade off is that the grit will run out sooner than the medium however the discs are 2 sided (just learn and don’t tungsten dip so much and it will last, problem solved lol.) I seriously can’t recommend this enough, you can take this about seriously everywhere and get exceptional results with every use. You can also use it as it was intended since it is a rotary tool and they still supply it with the cut off wheel just take apart the lower and upper housing and then the diamond disc along with the mandrel and the few little other pieces and you have yourself the Milwaukee rotary tool. :) ... show more

This is exactly what it needs to be. It is the same head as the corded sharpie grinder on the body of a M12 "dremel" tool. Good battery life.

I put off buying this for way too long. Just like other tools I have bought, the pain of the original purchase wears off as soon as you use it and understand it's not cheap garbage. No set up, charged battery right out of the box, sharpens my tungsten really well. What else can be said.

Absolutely love this tungsten sharpener...I used to have to use a grinder... and sometimes it got tiresome... and dangerous... this was a gift to myself, and investment into my welding career..I don't regret it...it was little pricey.. but I've used it day one..It took sometime to set up the angle and, pitch, or degree of the point of the tungsten..it took sometime but after i finally got the desired tip..I marked it just to make sure if I have to undo everything, it would already have the indication marks for my angle.. but my b welds look good.. and whenever I need to freshen my tip..its more convenient.. also I just keep it on my bag.. but I'm very happy with this product ... show more

I have waited to rate the grinder until I have used the grinder for a whale. So far I am very happy with it. I do agree with another review that the bushing holes were too large but before I purchased it I already had a plan on how to fix the problem. I bushed the 1/8 bushing for the 1/16 tungsten to the size I wanted and then opened up the other ones. I like the fact that I can adjust the angle to my preferences. Once I established the two different angles I engraved two lines in line with the screw driver slot. I liked the flexibility it gave me to grind the tungsten to my welding style. The only resin I didn't give it five stars is because I also had to open up the 1/16 hole for grinding the end of the tungsten. It looks like anodizing made the hole too small. I did purchase figuring there may be an issue with the bushings. ... show more
